If he would have rescued Terri Schiavo from the evil ghouls down there in Fl. he would have been seen a gutsy hero and been high on the list.
As Governor, did he have the power to overrule the courts? I don't know Florida law, or their state constitution at all, so I won't lay that on him.
Fact is, Jeb Bush seems to be a decent fellow, but he's never made a real name for himself with voters outside of Florida. He hasn't worked hard enough at becoming a leader in national politics, so he's got no "cache'", as they call it.
If it weren't for his high profile familial connection to two former presidents, he'd already be a forgotten footnote in political history.
