call for a pizza , call for a cop. see who gets there first.”
I live rural, and the cop will get there first-—but probably only because we don’t have any pizza delivery available.
“Jayne! The man they call Jayne! He stole from the rich and he gave to poor, stood up to the man and he gave him what for, our love for him now ain’t hard to explain, the hero of Canton, the man they call..... Jayne!”
YOU need to change YOUR name! Damn, it’s great to see a citizen who believes that we shouldn’t beg for our rights.
Exactly.
There was an e-mail thing going around a few weeks ago about putting your car keys on you bedside table with the idea that you press the panic button on you car alarm if someone tries to break in.
That wasn’t much different from dialing 911, the better solution would be armed so that you can protect yourself instead of waiting 10 -20 -30 minutes for the police to arrive to do it for you.
Yep - a few gunshots (even if not aimed at anyone) will get a LOT more attention than a car alarm.
“When seconds count, the police are just minutes away.”
Sometimes almost an hour!

OMG!
What a tragedy.
Would it be unreasonable to ask the cop to stop and get one? After all, if you've got a perp at gunpoint (or room temperature) you've been doing his heavy lifting.
