>> If Lowery pulls a Brady, and pulls just enough votes to ensure the RINO wins the nod — as far as I'm concerned his aspirations for statewide office are over. He'd better hope Kirk wins in a landslide. There is not ONE DAMN THING wrong with Hughes that is so repugnant that we should vote for Lowery even if it helps Kirk win. Not one. I honestly SWEAR these guys are Libertarians and Constitution Party plants DELIBERATELY trying to split the vote so that a RINO wins (”now WE have the only true Conservative Candidate running in the General Election!”). There is no justification for voting Lowery over Hughes right now, none <<

MESSAGE I JUST SENT TO PATRICK HUGHES' WEBSITE:

I noticed Patrick Hughes was supporting “our next Senator” Congressman Kirk at Republican Day at the Illinois State Fair. Nevermind that Kirk is trying to run to the left of Giannoulias and didn’t even have the decency to debate Hughes during the primary. If the situation had been reversed and Hughes had won the primary, I have no doubt Kirk would be decrying Hughes as “too extreme for Illinois” and doing everything possible to undermine his candidacy.

Those who hounded Dr. Eric Wallace out of the race and touted you as THE solution for conservatives have now been proven wrong.

Mr. Hughes, I regret my vote for you in the primary.

I wouldn’t be surprised if people like Hughes were on the Combiner payroll from the get-go. The primary was a complete joke.

I’m still glad that I voted for Judge Lowery, since he was the best candidate, in that race. He was the only conservative veteran, with experience, in elected office, in that race. If I thought that Hughes could have defeated Kirk and that Lowery couldn’t beat Kirk, I would have voted for Hughes. Since Hughes is helping Kirk, I hope that Hughes will never run for office. If Rep. Shimkus doesn’t run for re-election, in 2012, I hope that Lowery will run for that seat.
