Chris Cox, an attorney and the grandson of former president Richard Nixon, is running for Congress in New York, according to his campaign web site.
Cox, 30, a New York native, is among a field of candidates seeking the GOP nomination to face incumbent Democrat Tim Bishop in the state's 1st Congressional District on Eastern Long Island, Huffington Post reported. A web site bio describes Cox as "a fiscal conservative who will fight for limited government and lower taxes."

“Cox served as executive director of John McCain’s New York campaign”
Hmmmmmmm, I hope he did not get to close to Mehgan McCain as that might have fried his brain and turned him into a RINO.
That was his father
Except Randy Altschuler has been out front in this race for some time now and is competitive with Bishop.
Beware “fiscal conservatives.”
They say “fiscal conservative” because they run against social conservatives. The fact is, however, that the two go together. If someone will sell out conservatism to permit the slaughter of 50 million babies, you can better believe they will sell out conservativm to permit a tax hike, or a crabon-credit scheme.
“Fiscal conservatives:” Arlen Specter, Lincoln Chafee, Lowell Weicker, James Jeffords, Olympia Snowe, Susan Collins, Christine Todd Whitman ... anyone notice a pattern here?
My goodness, Tricia’s baby. I remember the wedding. I’m getting old.
