Traditionally we have created armies to do the dying for us...for righteous causes. It appears that this righteous cause of protection of children has not yet reached the level of the state “taking care of business” for us. So, it is heroes who are left to do it for us.
States like Nazi Germany never did come to grips with their own horrors...it took armies from outside to do it for them.
As one of those American soldiers who has murdered other human beings in ostensible defense of the likes of you, let me note that your comparison of our sacrifices to this “hero” in your mind is grotesque and morally bankrupt in the extreme. Sometimes someone has to do something. Clearly this country no longer has the moral infrastructure to outlaw barbaric acts against children, even though we have the infrastructure to stand up a military established for our physical protection.
