Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Adm. Mike Mullen will testify next week on the repeal of a controversial law preventing openly gay people from serving in the military.
The Senate Armed Services Committee announced Thursday that Gates and Mullen will testify Tuesday on repealing the 1993 law, commonly known Dont Ask, Dont Tell.
President Barack Obama on Wednesday renewed his commitment to repeal the law, but supporters say the real test will come this spring with the Pentagon budget.

homosexuals openly serving in the military is sheer insanity and this is just one more part of America that obamao's marxist cabal wants to destroy.
this cannot be allowed to happen.

BO is a liar. Homosexuals are not denied the “right” to serve in the military. We just don’t want them going around in our military uniforms acting like a bunch of fags.

Well, if they let the fags, why not the "transgendered".... then we can have men wearing skirts...... that sure sounds like good order and discipline to me.
Oh, and while we're at it, we'll cover their science experiment surgeries... just make the TriCare cuts to the retirees to cover the cost.

BO wants our military to become the laughingstock of the world in their new pink tutus. I’ve convinced that BO literally wants to castrate our men in uniform.

everyone can read my thoughts about this from my past posts but I will say again
this is pure insanity and has to be stopped

If they want Gates to testify, they will have to surgically remove him from Obama’s rear end, where he became stuck while trying to go deeper than Chris Matthews.

Retirement cannot come soon enough, if this is our military's future.
manc had some great points regarding the parades, the parties, the unwanted attention given to youngsters to "turn" them when they first join.
I don't agree with the officer/enlisted relationship problem, as the current fraternization rules already cover this.

that is true but when we are dealing with homosexuals then they complain over anything and seem to not go by the rules
that’s why I said what I said.
this brings so many problems and what pros does it bring

No, you're probably right.
And damned sure all "cons". No "pros" at all.

Latest military polls indicate this is fail, but hey, you know how things operate: the minority position overrules the majority position.
