It’s a pretty sad state of affairs when the President of the United States goes on television before a national audience to indulge himself in an inchoate jumble of poorly-conceived notions and barely-concealed accusations toward his political adversaries. To do so for over an hour is to add insult to injury. But there is one thing I have relearned from Obama: a man’s true character will be revealed by his deeds, but it is often foreshadowed by his choice of words.
