CHICAGO (AP)—Friends of Animals posted an open letter to U.S. figure skater Johnny Weir criticizing him for having fox fur on one of his costumes and asking him to stop wearing fur.
The animal advocacy group also contacted his costume designer, Stephanie Handler, on Tuesday.

Acts like a beast wears clothes made of beasts...I don't see what the problem is for the atheistic socialists? Oh, that's right, they feel lowly beasts are “equal” to humans...so it is speciesism. But it is simply fine to kill little boys and girls and use their cells for research.

Along these lines, I saw someone wearing fur the other evening and told my husband — “Fur is coming back. People are tired of being badgered about every little thing.”
I don’t think the PETA folks hold much sway these days.
