Behold Mel Gibson living down to his reputation. Earlier today Rick Sanchez highlighted Gibson in his the list u dont want 2 be on segment for a comment Gibson made to KTLA entertainment reporter Sam Rubin during a press junket for his new movie Edge of Darkness (watch the video Gibson is not a person youd want to be stuck in a small room with). In the clip Rubin is trying to edge his way around asking Gibson whether he is worried how he will be received by the public in his first foray back into movies since going on a reported anti-Semitic tirade to cops after being pulled over for drunk driving back in 2006. Heres the exchange:
Reporter: Some people are going to welcome you back, and some people are going to say you should never come back.
MG: Why
Reporter: Because of what happened before.
MG: What happened before?
Reporter: The remarks that were attributed to you.
MG: That were attributed to me that I didnt necessarily make.
Reporter: Uh Huh
MG: But and I gather you have a dog in this fight.
Reporter: Pardon me?
MG: You have a dog in this fight? Or are you being impartial?
Reporter: You tell me. Im trying to be impartial.
MG: Ok. Well Im back. And I hope it works out. And I hope people will graciously accept me back.
Its hard to impart the level of crazy sarcasm in that last sentence. And yes! Absolutely. Dont you feel endeared to Mel Gibson now! Lordy. Who talks like that? Video below.

You really have to be trying hard to be offended by that remark.
Scandalous ((((sarcasm light on)))))
well....does he?????
I’d have to see the video to get the full impact of that psychotic, crazy sarcasm, because so far I’m only picking up a touch of irritation. Perhaps it’s just really, really, really subtle. Yeah.
I believe the appropriate question would have been,
“Do you have a cat in this fight?”
I agree, even though Mel can be a bit creepy.
And leave it to CNN and Rick “I killed a man while driving drunk” Sanchez to throw rocks at glass houses....Mel Gibson might not be the best of people in the world but there are far worse and he has given us cinematic brilliance like nobody else has...the more they poke him the more he is going to keep coming back with one gem after another...MOVE ON.
People act like they haven’t talked mad sh-t when they have been drunk...let’s ask a drunk about that very thing...Hey Rick Sanchez...do you feel like you should be on the air after killing a man and leaving the scene of the accident? I mean leaving him in a coma for years and going home to dry up etc...ahh whatever.
Video is at the link.
I like Mel. He isn’t perfect, but none of us are. His comment in this post doesn’t seem offensive to me, but I don’t go through life looking for things to be offended by.
Yep.
Yes, thanks... I know, I just can’t look at it right now. I’m at work. But I will.
I used to love Mel Gibson, I watched all of his movies. His name guaranteed that I would buy a ticket. I was heartbroken by his comments during his DUI. The moment I heard the news, I put him on my permanent boycott list. Sure, there are things that can be forgiven, but Mel - the thrill is gone.....
The nouveau phrase these days is “Do you have skin in this game?”
Mel has gone farther out of his way to show repentance than is typical for a celebrity. Has Sanchez even apologized?
Speaking of Mel, does anyone else think that on the poster for his new movie, he looks like Abe Vigoda?
"What?"
"Where?"
"When?"
Which was exactly right, given the circumstances.
Regards,
Someone that easily offended should live their life in a protective bubble.
Those boobs in Hollyweird, have no love for anyone but themselves, in spite of what they say, persecuted this guy. But, Roman Polanski is ok? Mel was drunk, and said something stupid. Roman likes little girls. And, I like Mel.
