Bad content? Bad business model? No, those reasons aren't why Air America is no longer with us. Air America, a radio network advertised as the next talk radio juggernaut in 2004, was supposed to revolutionize the format and provide a "counterweight" for those left-of-center politically.
But there's another reason according to HLN host and "The View" panelist Joy Behar. In the usual fashion of citing no statistics and making sweeping generalizations, Behar blamed the collapse of liberal talk radio outlet Air America on a gender gap in listeners on her Jan. 25 HLN broadcast.
"Ok, but can I say that men listen to talk radio more than women and men are more conservative, generally speaking," Behar said, proposing a reason for Air America's bankruptcy.

Is she saying women are too stupid to operate a radio? Too poor to own one? What exactly is her reason for women not being able to utilize a radio?
I know liberals are as a general rule quite stupid, but I don't think that breaks down by gender...liberal men seem every bit as idiotic as liberal women in my experience.

Libs get off on ideas focusing on new, untried possiblities that sound noble and give them a good feeling.
When you start tearing into the logic, reality and mundane details required to evaluate an idea or implement a sound policy or strategy, their eyes glaze over, they become disinterested and tune out.
That is why liberal talk radio failed miserably and why their liberal “new ideas” amount to junk that rarely work.

Hate to break it to you Joy, but if Airhead America had had an audience equal to only Rush’s female listeners they would still be around today.
With a mind like that giving input to Air America, is there really any surprise that the thing flopped? Liberals have such a hard time distinguishing their dreams and neuroses from reality.

I have my radio on all the time. In fact I have one
in 3 different rooms at times. I don’t want to miss the real news.
IMO, men listen to music in their cars and at home
so they miss the talk shows.
