Conservatives are in no mood for compromise on principle. If the governor is indeed a conservative, iis it too much to ask that she behave as one?

Semantics. Elective office has nothing to do with it. Even as a private citizen, she wants to be taken seriously as a conservative leader and has generated a pretty impressive amount of support. Now she pulls a fast one and betrays the very conservatives that support her. She owes Captain Queeg nothing. I question her judgment. This decision will come back to haunt her. We’ve been disappointed before, and will be again.
