The only thing I can think of is that people can’t read everything - I’ve read obsessively (just ask my DH...) about 0bama’s ineligibility since the spring or summer of 2008 and I hadn’t run into the part about him not being a real professor, or that interview which is quoted on the Examiner blog thingie. Where the guy says that 0bama was disliked by the real professors, got in via a phone call, etc. Actually I do think I remember the part about the phone call.
