Kick off is traditionally about 5 minutes after “start”, nothing duplicitous about it. All sports start their game about 5 minutes after the TV listed start time, and it’s been that way for at least 30 years. Shouldn’t get worked up about it, they want to give everybody a chance to tune in and sit down. Wanna bet?
