I’m going with Farve and Manning.
The Colts COULD have lost the Jets game without sitting the starters!! They were only ahead 15-10 and the Jets ground game was beginning their fourth quarter weardown.
I have to say Wrestlemania.....at least residents of the City of Detroit could afford to attend.
Wes Welker agrees with you.
I also knew the Redskins would beat the Bills in the Super Bowl two weeks later. Fortunately for me most of my classmates disagreed and they paid for their mistaken judgment. :)
Major Soccer League? Or indoor soccer leagues?
I know Canadians know hockey and pot, but soccer?
Just glad for the City of Pontiac that some revenue will be (hopefully) generated for the City.
I was nine years old watching Game 6 of the '86 WS. To quote Bubba, "I feel your pain."
My uncle grew up in 70's and became a huge Vikings fan. He's been waiting literally my entire life for them to get back to the big game.
You know his dad was coaching the jet d when they beat the colts in the super bowl.
For the love of Pete, I hope you guys break your picking streaks, otherwise my Saints are so screwed.
This calls for an extra GEAUX, GEAUX, GEAUX BREES, GEAUX SAINTS!
According to the NFL, the #1 greatest Championship game of all time is the “Ice Bowl”, 1967 Packers vs Cowboys:

Top 10 Super Bowl Teams

Cowboys top a list of the best Super Bowl-era teams. Since the first “World Championship Game” in 1967, the Cowboys have outpaced all other NFL franchises when it comes to full-season performance. Though the team is tied with the Steelers and the 49ers for the most Super Bowl wins* (five), it has the most Super Bowl appearances (eight), a record 29 playoff appearances (which means they’ve missed the playoffs only 14 times in the last 43 seasons) and the highest regular-season winning percentage during the Super Bowl era (0.606, besting the Miami Dolphins’ 0.579).

I really don't know, there hasn't been any more said.......
As a side note, access to and from the Silverdome was a breeze. It was right off I-75 and M-59, another major highway.
Ford Field, in downtown Detroit and right next door to Comerica Park where the Tigers play, is an absolute traffic nightmare.......with parking equally horrendous.
The same guy who coached the Chicago Bears defense in Super Bowl XX.
You wouldn't think so, but my guess is that the first game will be a blow-out with the Colts winning (I am rooting for the Jets, though) while the SECOND game will be the nail biter. Vikings can pull it off but it will be tough, most likely.
As I recall at the time it set a record for attendance at an indoor event.
And in 'Norlins', if the Vikings can get to Brees early and consistently, they will have a great chance of knocking the Saints down to earth. Thus sayeth the TNphydeaux ... and he olny surfaces every few years to prognosticate.
