We still have much to do before November, and time is running short. Every race has unique characteristics, but there are a few general things that Democrats can do to strengthen our hand. ad_icon
-- Pass a meaningful health insurance reform package without delay. Americans' health and our nation's long-term fiscal health depend on it. I know that the short-term politics are bad. It's a good plan that's become a demonized caricature. But politically speaking, if we do not pass it, the GOP will continue attacking the plan as if we did anyway, and voters will have no ability to measure its upside. If we do pass it, dozens of protections and benefits take effect this year. Parents won't have to worry their children will be denied coverage just because they have a preexisting condition. Workers won't have to worry that their coverage will be dropped because they get sick. Seniors will feel relief from prescription costs. Only if the plan becomes law will the American people see that all the scary things Sarah Palin and others have predicted -- such as the so-called death panels -- were baseless. We own the bill and the health-care votes. We need to get some of the upside. (P.S.: Health care is a jobs creator.)

Not delusional...progressive.
Beck did a really good job explaining the difference between a “normal” Dem and a progressive.
After the MA loss, he said, if what he believe about the administration was really true (progressive and followers of Alinsky like politics) they would double down and push even harder, even though it is political suicide.
But if they were just normal, run of the mill, Dems, they’d do like Clinton after the 1994 epiphany, move to the center and triangulate.
The jobs they have now, they can lose.
After they create 118 new agencies to run hospitals and medical services, they will all be appointed to jobs they can never lose.
Huck is right. They need to do this, win or lose. They control enough of both parties that they can turn defeat into victory, because they know what they are doing.
The GOP? Not so much.
Haaa the new Obama guru has spoken!
Just ignore the polls, ignore the people, do what Dear Reader wants you to do!
So the 0-bots really are this stupid!
IF they pass this, the Democrats are the oranges and we are the juicer.
Of course! Burden employers with more mandates and they will create jobs.
Why didnt I think of that!
I agree. When I read Plouffe was coming to the rescue I thought it was great news. Just shows that it still hasn't dawned on O that he needs to govern. Plouffe helped with the campaign. He's not going to know any more about governing than O does. Yep, onward....right off the cliff.
A collective flop?
Me thinks these folks suffer from “Ostrich-Syndrome”!
Even if, not.enough.time.
The only thing the dems can do to save themselves is to pull out all the stops and push further to the left as hard as they can. They should purge their party of all blue dogs and moderates. They should then hunker down and spend all their money on ad campaigns and work more closely with their MSM campaign arm and hammer their message to the public at large.
You won't have to worry about what to do with your left over tax dollars. Give EVERYTHING to the Feds, and we'll make sure it all works out for you.
Rhymes with Puff.
Plouffe was the campaign manager for Obama’s successful 2008 presidential campaign
We tried that boss
The Socialist Democrats can only get votes by purchasing them. With Government redistribution plans. However they are out of OPM and votes are getting too expensive to buy. Now they have to try to sell Communism itself. KaChing...NO SALE.
LOL. I don't know that anyone knows how to pronounce it. I do know the FR spell check hates it. Maybe it's "loaf". I think I'll go with that.
