One year ago Barack Obama became the 44th President of the United States. He took office and began implementing his agenda of change. This agenda could be summarized as: Government taking control.
This year we have a chance to fix what is broken, stop massive government spending, and put an end to a Washington that is only interested in helping Washington.
This year is not about Illinois or Massachusetts. It is not about Florida or California. This year is about taking our liberty back from a government that is taking it away through rapid growth. It is about taking our tax dollars back from a government that thinks it can spend them better than we can. It is about taking our voices back from the Washington establishment that believes it can speak on our behalf better than we can speak for ourselves. 2010 is the year Conservatives take it back.

This is a great opportunity to elect Patrick Hughes to the Senate to support principled conservatism, the perfect electoral climate for an outsider to triumph.
Billy, I know you support Hughes , how is it looking for him? He said the Tea Party is backing him?
Thats encouraging -g- I hate that I can’t vote there for the first time in almost forty years or I’d carry Hughes on my back to Springfield
HUGE bump to dat! But Kirk is a RINO & they get fired this year!

This IL resident is loaded up for RINO on Feb 2. No Kirk, no way.
Oh yah! Kirk is a RINO suckup just like McCain is one. Wouldn’t it be groovy if Come Feb 3rd, to see Illinois become a ‘true’ Maverick & show the Daley/Obama masheen buh buh?
Lovely! Going to go make a poster for that for you BBL!
FTFY
I remember in the day how Illinois was conservative
Hello Piper,
Nothing we’d like better to see than Obamy’s former seat going Conservative.
You know anything about Illinois? Or Chicago?
Illinois is a rural, agricultural state like Alabama, cept with the exception of Chicago. Bama has nothing like Chicago
thank GOD.
Graft and corruption IS Chicago.
Chicago politics are dirty enough to undermine presidential elections. (ref. Nixon Kennedy 1960)
You will have to have a 40 percent lead to overcome all the dead folks illegals etc that will turn out for any Dem there.
you be datin' yo'self ;^)
... i just put up Hughes yard signs yesterday
Well I’m on facebook, can’t hide it, so I think it’s boss anyway lol. Yay for your yard signs!!! Put one up for me?
Patrick Hughes opposes Cap and Trade. It will be the largest tax increase in American History - and the largest transfer of power to the federal government since the New Deal. Mark Kirk was one of 8 Republicans who voted for it. (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2009/roll477.xml)
Patrick Hughes does not support the expansion of government or increased regulation. Mark Kirks vote for Cap and Trade legislation supports an increase of government regulation in the lives of American families. His near decisive vote on the Cap and Trade bill also helped Democrats gain the legislative cover needed to pass the health care bill which, if put into law, would be a massive expansion of the federal government.
Patrick Hughes supports Americas progress towards energy independence. Mark Kirk opposes using Americas resources to gain energy independence. He voted for prohibiting oil drilling and development in ANWR. (http://www.ontheissues.org/HouseVote/Party_2001-317.htm)
Patrick Hughes believes in Peace through Strength; a strong national defense. Mark Kirk says he does too, but when the political going got tough, he was one of a handful of Republicans who voted against the surge, which was one of the single biggest turning points in the Iraq War. (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2007/roll099.xml)
Patrick Hughes supports the 2nd Amendment and the individual right to bear arms. Mark Kirk gets an F rating from the NRA (http://www.nraila.org) and an F- from Gun Owners of America (http://gunowners.org/111hrat.htm). He does, however, get very high marks from groups advocating more gun control and bans.
Patrick Hughes is pro-life. He has always stood up for the rights of the unborn. Mark Kirk is adamantly pro-abortion. He even voted against the ban on the hideous practice of partial-birth abortion. (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2003/roll242.xml). He gets a 100% rating from both Planned Parenthood and NARAL. He is in the top tier of pro-abortion Republicans in Congress.
Patrick Hughes believes in a traditional definition of marriage. Mark Kirk voted against an amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman. (http://clerk.house.gov/evs/2003/roll242.xml)
Patrick Hughes believes hate crime laws are divisive and unconstitutional. Mark Kirk joined left wing Democrats in sponsoring hate crime legislation. (http://www.opencongress.org/vote/2009/h/223)
Chicagoan for over 5 decades :) Now , I have my own RINO to work on unseating, Shelby , Believe me Birmingham just got rid of their Daley wannabe. He was corrupt, it was not covered up, he’s gone. then again with Boss Daley, Chicago was useless Joe. I was campaigning from 8 years old as a conservative. shoot, Nixon was my first vote. I was splashed all over local news at Union Station because I had on hotpants & a halter. COVERED all in nixon buttons! Lol! I knew then how to get attention. Didn’t Nixon have a landslide first term?
~Piper digging out those old clothes for Kirk, 2nd thought he’d lose haha
