Today, Friday January 22, 2010, at 5 pm, Glenn Beck will be airing a documentary with a significant segment dedicated to highlighting the Ukrainian Famine/Genocide of 1933, also known as The Holodomor. It was planned and carried out by Stalin and the Communist Party of the USSR. An estimated 8-10 million people died as a result of this little known catastrophe because it has been covered up by Communists and their supporters in the media.
This is a must see documentary that will inform you about the horrors of Communism that few Americans are aware of.
A good source of historical information on this tragedy is the book "The Harvest of Sorrow" by Robert Conquest.

the Cold War was still at its height, the commies were still the bad guys back in the early 60s. Ohhhh, that's a good point! I never could figure out how that one was "allowed," plus I think it won some Academy Awards? I have the VCR plus an original movie premiere book I found at an antique store... I think a lot of what I picture happened to my family's families resulted from that movie.
If only they made more, instead of the Communist-denial!

all my life if have preached to the choir about the evils of socialism, either National Socialism or Communism...doesn't matter which...one puts a banana knife in your ear for disobeying, and the other kills you by the numbers by sending you to the gas chamber...Liberals think it IS a new outlook and is exciting and that the great ‘RIGHT WING” conspiracy is to blame for the worlds ills, instead of the sickness of greed and power...and remember, the old Communists HATED Fascism because they believed they were the better socialists...

I started to read the “Divine Alexander” in 1960 when “One Day in the Life” was first published in “Look Magazine”, hated commies there after.

Little mention is made either that the second-class position of Jews in the Soviet Union began immediately after the Hitler-Stalin pact, and led, before Hitler's version of the "final solution", to the expulsion of nearly all Jews from Communist Party and from government in the Soviet Union, pogroms, mass starvation, forced Siberian exile and Gulag imprisonment for Jews, across the Soviet Union, and without respect to former position in party, government or society. Hitler just took it a few steps further.
Notice also that the left in the west has worked so hard to keep this bit of history suppressed, while simultaneously concentrating the public's mind on those same activities by Hitler - as if Hitler and Stalin had nothing in common (as the left's myth goes).
