113 Saudi troops martyred since Nov. 5

RIYADH – The Saudi army has lost 113 troops since the Kingdom launched a sweeping offensive against infiltrators in early November, a military commander said in comments published Thursday.

The Al-Riyadh newspaper quoted Maj. Gen. Ali Zaid Al-Khawaji as saying the dead include a senior Saudi officer whose body was found with those of two soldiers after a battle last week to drive rebels out of a border village.

The latest toll is a significant jump from last week, when Prince Khaled Bin Sultan, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation for Military Affairs, said the Saudi side had 82 dead and 470 wounded.

The Saudi side is relying on artillery and air power to defeat the rebels without risking manpower, but the casualties mostly come from mop-up operations in rebel stronghold villages. Saudi Chief of Staff Gen. Saleh Bin Ali Al-Mohaya said the war “is close to a guerrilla war.” Al-Khawaji, the commander of the southern Saudi region, identified the dead officer as Lt. Col. Saeed Ma’tuq Al-Omari from Saudi parachutist units and a veteran of the 1991 Gulf War.

“There are field units searching for more bodies,” Al-Khawaji told the paper.

The war against Al Queda in Saudi Arabia is costly

My take is that Iran is behind it

To me this is like Hitler going after Ernst Rohm and the SA, or Stalin arresting Yezhov. Do I really care who wins?

......Do I really care who wins?.....

You probably don’t but a better understanding of the area might allow you to understand that the war with Al Queda is very wide. Saudi Arabia is a valued ally. An attack on Saudi interests is an attack on American interests.

It appears that we are prevailing on both sides of the border.

We = Yemen + Saudi Arabia + Jordan + USA

Well...let’s see:

Robert Baer wrote a book on “our friends”, the saudis, called “Sleeping with the devil. How America sold its soul for saudi crude.”. It’s quite damning when it comes to those islamic bastards. saudi arabia funds 90+% of all mosques being built around the world, pushing out the “moderates” for their preferred sect of islam, the whabbi sect and they are complicit in nearly every terrorist attack in the world.

Find out why he left the CIA...I DARE YOU.

Hatred’s Kingdon is another book that is damning too.

Read about Prince Turki, and how his diplomatic immunity keeps him free and protected by our DOD.

The saudis are at the epicenter of hatred in the world, and they laugh at us every day.

There has been extremely little reporting on this by our AWOL press. But there was one foreign news story posted here a while back about invaders from Yemen. These are described as Shiite rebels against the Yemeni government. Presumably they are the same as the Yemenis that the Saudis were said to be bombing earlier, across the border.

Since they are Shiites, it’s likely that they are supported by Iran, which might like to surround the Saudis and maybe take over the Holy Places from the Sunnis.

I remember one Freeper saying that the Saudi military is pretty worthless. They have a ton of expensive gadgets—planes, missiles, and the rest—but they probably are all too rich with oil money to be very eager to fight. So they may need to call in troops from Jordan. But that would raise problems, too.

Obama, I think, is a Muslim himself. But I still can’t make out whether his sympathies are with the Sunnis or the Shiites. Or, considering his stupidity, whether he even fully understands the difference.

I gather that the Muslims in Kenya and Indonesia are not exactly in line with either the Sunnis or the Shiites. Because there are other factions in addition to those two.

Several Iranian clerics have said that Obama is the predecessor to the Mahdi, the black man who will bring on the final days. But Obama also bowed and, I suspect, kissed the hand of King Abdullah, the Keeper of the Holy Places.

Will he side with the Saudis or the Iranians? Stay tuned.

It is OK, and even understandable, to dislike the Royal House of Saud, and their, shall we say, rather idiosyncratic form of government.

But I gorron-tee, you gonna like whatever follows even less. They Saudi are thorough-going bastards and treacherous ... but they are OUR treacherous bastards. This being the Muslim World, make that the best treacherous bastards we have, at the moment.

.....So they may need to call in troops from Jordan.....

I included Jordan in the equation because reports early on mentioned Jordanian units involved, special forces I think.

I am convinced that the turmoil in Yemen is Iranian based. The recent death of a nuclear scientist at his home on Iranian soil might be Saudi Secret Service action. Saudi action within Iran is in my view very likely. It is tit for tat.

... it is unclear from this report what roles the Saudi Army, Air Force, or the Saudi National Guard (and their Air Force) are sharing in this nasty border war. They are not always on the same page, particularly in regard to religious-political matters. Different Princes.

As a rule, if the Saudi's can pay someone else to do the heavy lifting (The Jordanians, who have a very well organized rentable military, or Brit Mercs, as in the Trucial Oman) they will.

BTW, This area is a desolate as Mars, and not much better known.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that teaches hatred, violence, and bigotry against non-Muslims at its schools. School textbooks are filed with texts that are politically and socially incorrect. Even mathematics books teach these things. Here is a Saudi school quiz: 19 Muslims kill 2,979 infidels (with reference to 9/11). How many did each of them kill? Check out “Saudi Textbooks Incite to Hatred and Violence.”

The same books are printed and funded by Saudis for schools in Pakistan, Indonesia, and madrassas in Deoband (in India) and elsewhere.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that does not allow followers of other faiths to have their own temples. Even wearing the Christian cross in a necklace is forbidden. Its owner may be charged with proselytizing and could face flogging or deportation. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia has funded the erection of mosques all over the world, and spends billion of dollars on Islamic centers across the world.

For example, King Fahd Academy, which was funded and opened in Bonn, Germany in 1995 and cost $20 million, was recently closed because it was teaching violence and hatred by staff from Saudi Arabia. However, the “House of Islam” near Frankfurt, which is also funded by the Saudis, is still teaching a Saudi curriculum.

The war on terror does not make sense in its present state and will remain futile unless the West combats the root causes of terrorism, namely, Saudi Arabia. The West is fighting the tip of the iceberg.

If one analyzes the entire history of the Wahabbi cult, it is clear that the Wahabbis are inherently warlike, aggressive and expansionist. They have been waging war against other Muslims of all flavors since the 1700s (a mere tick of time in their world).

There is no "palestine", nor are there any so-called palestinians but for various conglomerations of islamist
and nazified arabs which Israel, for whatever God forsaken reason, has convinced itself it must put up with.
