Why in the world are we gerrymandering? Redistricting must be done again next year. With any luck, some sane people will be in charge of it this time and get rid of those foolish looking districts. They are absolutely ridiculous.

This is the money quote. I still think African Americans will stick with an African American candidate, given their voting patterns. Likewise, Obama is not the same wedge issue in a largely African American CD.

When they were having the big funeral for Michael Jackson in California, Sheila traveled there. When she got back, an enterprising TV reporter asked her where the money came from for the trip. Was Government money used for the trip? Sheila said, “No.” The reporter asked again where the money came from. She said, “I have my sources.”
As far as I know, there was no follow-up.

I doubt a Republican could win that overwhelming Black district. I think the best thing we can hope for is that she is unseated by a sane dem in the Primary.
Back in the ‘90’s we were just about to set up a campaign against her. We had an EXCELLENT candidate. She was brilliant, a Christian, black and highly respected... Elizabeth Spates who had served TX in several high positions.
Unfortunately, Elizabeth died of a massive brain hemmorrhage.
Would you believe Queen Sheila had the unmitigated gall to show up at Elizabeth’s funeral and she even spoke to the assembled about how she and Elizabeth SHARED the same objectives??!
Our very own Re-Joyce Smith was also slated to speak and was seated close to the alter.
As the she-devil walked to the microphone Joyce stompted out into a hallway and wouldn’t return to her seat until Sheila finished her phony speech.
Elizabeth and Joyce were best friends and Joyce knew Elizabeth was smiling when she walked out of the room. Mrs. Spates would have cleaned Sheila’s clock and Sheila knew it.
