The parents of four students still missing in Haiti more than a week after the earthquake are urging the U.S. government to intervene.
.................................................
'The United States of America needs to get to the Hotel Montana and get our children - now! John Gianacaci, of New Jersey, whose daughter, Christine, is one of the missing students, said: 'This is the United States of America. They perform miracles all across the world ... Where's our miracle?' Seven search and rescue teams, including emergency workers from Miami-Dade county, have been desperately combing through the rubble since last Wednesday. Forrest Masters, who is in Haiti helping search for a family friend, said: I think everyone has accepted the fact that theyre not going to find everyone alive, but we at least want to bury our loved ones on American soil and not under the rubble.

BS. These are amcits. They come first, living or dead.
Be sure to watch BOR’s disgraceful interview with the parents of these kids.
He basically told them to relax and that their on-the-ground information was bogus. He showed no emotion and could care less about these parent of their kids. the parents were in tears, begging the audience and Bill to realize that the US government was doing nothing - 8 days in. BOR would have none of it. He even pulled an Obama and said “Well, maybe if you contacted me sooner I could have done something.”
So much for looking out for the folks.
Since when is it our government’s job to save citizens from themselves overseas? I mean... they chose to go to this wretched, crime-ridden, dangerous place.
resources need to be devoted to the living to prevent more deaths.
Your comment brings to mind those that have spent days buried in concrete, and have been rescued, mostly women and babies. It makes me cry when they get their first sip of water after days of thirst.
I saw the segment. I think something was said about 7 or 8 search/rescue teams working on that location? My heart goes out to those people, but I don’t think BOR could let them go on and on as they would have liked to. He said they will be back on Friday for updates.
It was heartbreaking to watch those parents. I can’t imagine how much they are hurting.
But I guess these missing teachers were not young enough or pretty enough to be mentioned in the title.
(WTH is wrong with some reporters?)
I had to turn O’Reilly off, he was making me so mad. His “interviews” with regular people (especially those in pain) are disgraceful and expose him as the ass he is.
I can hardly watch the interviews with these parents. It is so heartbreaking.
Contrast the official US government response to the rescue of these kids with that of the JFK, Jr. aircraft loss off Martha’s Vineyard, where they had to know he was dead; quite a disparity in our (taxpayer) resources applied. I wonder why??
You are right. Why would anyone go there? Think of all of the luxurious resorts in the United States they could have vacationed at in order to help poor feed and clothe people in Haiti.

There are dozens of our troops trapped in that Hotel Montana as well as the students.
There is no excuse for not attempting to rescue all those people buried in the rubble.
May I join you in your sarcasm.
The cold heartlessness of some on this thread is shameful.
I know there are problems going into the airport etc. but I don’t understand why a helicopter or three can’t go to the Hotel Montana with some equipment and rescuers.
Seems a political decision was made not to attempt a rescue at that building.
According to O’R there is adequate food and water in the collapsed building.
I don’t know what to think or believe. I cannot imagine the sorrow and suffering of the parents and those trapped beneath the rubble.
Doesn’t our government rescue drunk drivers? People from sky diving accidents? Plus countless numbers of “hold my beer and watch this” mishaps?
Sheesh!
Regardless, the parents of these 'students' should have raised them better.
Believe it or not, the Hotel Montana website is still operating.
Check out these pics. I’m sure it’s difficult to get to the site let alone excavating the site itself
