Obama Cuts Deal that Will Reduce Social Security, Medicare and all Entitlements

The Obama administration literally collapsed yesterday. Any pretense of liberal change was washed away in a closed door deal to cut entitlements. While the Massachusetts voters were casting their ballots to install the upstart Republican Scott Brown to Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat, President Obama was hammering out an agreement with Democratic leaders to support a plan to issue an executive order to cut entitlements, including Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid.
The effect of this plan, if accepted by Congress, will be to override the already weakened health care reform legislation.
It represents a capitulation to conservatives in both parties, and would leave Democratic liberals accepting unconditional surrender not only on health care, but on the most basic of all New Deal programs. It reaches far beyond actions by the Reagan and Bush administration.
As the Washington Post explains this morning:
Under the agreement, President Obama would issue an executive order to create an 18-member panel that would be granted broad authority to propose changes in the tax code and in the massive federal entitlement programs — including Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security — that threaten to drive the nation’s debt to levels not seen since World War II.

Because Republicans know it was the massive illegal alien protests of Summer 2006 that brought the illegals to the polls in droves to put Democrats in Congress.

Obama don’t need no stinkin’ Legislative Branch.
He might change his mind if DC is shut down for a week.
2006 election was in large part a stay at home protest for people that were getting more of the same with each election.
International A.N.S.W.E.R. already has a huge “Immigrant rights” Rally planned for March 20, and the immigrant March on DC is planned for May 1 (imagine that on May Day).

How many thousands of relatively "important" people sold their souls for this marxist fraud? It makes me gag just thinking about it.
This panel is nothing more that a way to get the republicans to sign on to a tax increase. Hope they are smart enough to stay away from it.
This Commission will be nothing more than a smoke screen to cover another attempt by the Democrats to impoverish the middle and upper middle class to benefit their constituencies.
I remember during Clinton’s time Rush explaining how that works. They get a panel of thier own cronies to do what the president wants and if something goes wrong,”It’s the panel’s fault”. They fool the people and the administration remains unscathed. We had an ethics problem here in San Antonio Texas. Well, the sitting Mayor dug out a past Mayor from 1975, Lila Crockrell,and asked her to form a (special) ethics committee to look into the problem. I don’t remember hearing anything more about it or what “the special committee” did. I’m sure the ex-mayor and friends were paid well.
They want to raise the debt limit by $1.9 trillion.
This is a threat to get that passed.
Then its off to the spending races with Stimulus 2 and 3.
