Amidst the innumerable excuses we're bound to hear for Martha Coakley's defeat, credit Keith Olbermann with likely the most loathsome. The Countdown host would explain away the Scott Brown victory by accusing his supporters of . . . racism.

Asked my 8 year old grandson - who knows everything there is to know about models of cars and the kind of people who drive them - what kind of person does he think would drive a Prius and he said, “Well, probably an older person who is pretty boring!”.
Are Jeeps racist vehicles too?
I have an Hispanic friend that drives an F150, has a rifle in .30 06, and loves fried chicken and watermelon.

They don’t really connect the dots between why Scott Brown won in Mass. and his [obvious] pickup driving racism.
Is it that a lot of people in Mass drive pickup trucks like Scott Brown does (or they secretly want to drive a pickup truck)?
This theory wasn’t very well fleshed out.
Maybe some pick-up driving racists from Mass could explain things ....
