You're kidding, right? You can't see for yourself how many centrists Dems are declaring health care reform as it is currently written dead, that other Obama items are toast? Seriously, how can one have a debate with so many people who live in abject denial of reality?
Currently written? Yep, I see it...whatever that means as nobody had read the entirety of the proposed versions.
Brown supports government run health care and said that he would go to Washington to help them write a better bill. Will writing a better government run health care bill derail Obama's agenda?
I really hope you are right, but, as I said before, I am afraid that the hand writing is already on the wall, especially with his support for McCain.
"I can do better. We can go down there and hold the line. We can go back to the drawing board on health care. As the forty-first Senator I can tell them to do better, and try again and get something like we have here in Massachusetts."
I would throw a leftist politician out there, surround him with a bunch of radical leftists, have them craft the worst possible socialized medicine bill in the dark of night (death panels and all), and then I would help lead a revolt against the bill and the leftists who created it. Then, when the opposition was reaching a boiling point, I would introduce a "conservative" candidate who could ride the wave of opposition into office and have him, with the help of the "moderate" politicians (say a gang of 14, or so), create a "sensible" socialized medicine bill (because the need is great and the bill's passing is inevitable and we might as well get as much "conservative" principle written into it...something a little more fiscally responsible).
Who is in denial of reality?
