One of the two GOP frontrunners for the seat that the article derides as “establishment candidates,” state Representative Sandy Adams, was a long-time Deputy Sherrif who is a solid conservative. The other frontrunner, a county supervisor whose name eludes me, is a conservative female Republican with a history of electoral success within the district. Garcia sounds like an interestng candidate, but with two first-tier conservatives running already maybe he should try for another office in his first attempt at running for public office.

Yeah. With state leg term limits the seats come open often. A lot of good candidates could have good careers in public office if they first aimed for offices they could win more easily.
