On "Fox and Friends" this morning, they were talking about T Boone Pickens new ad, which talks about our dependence on oil imported from hostile Arab countries. I
The video can be seen here (Ignore the bashing text, and scroll down to the video)

Pickens is an idiot who wants taxpayers to fund him.
By all means let’s not mention that 50% of our imported oil comes from Canada with Mexico in second place.
Yawn. Wake me up when he decides to get serious and push NUCLEAR POWER.
Is he finally off of his windpower hobby horse?
Just listening to Stossel on Dennis Miller’s show talking about Pickens. Stossel said the same thing. No wonder a Dem I know on Facebook had them on their fan page.
The United States produces a quarter of the earth’s natural gas. It is located all over the country, but the five best sources for the fossil fuel are Texas, Oklahoma, New Mexico, Wyoming, and Louisiana.

Hey T!
These clowns dont want a solution!

This is NOT about Arab oil!
It is about a bunch of elites who want to destroy America’s Industry and Economy!
T bone is a hustler trying to put his hand in our pocket. He failed with his algorian wind farm crap before and now he’s back.
Pickens is an opportunist who wanted to get rich on windmills and when that didn’t work, sold out his windmill business and is now back in the oil bidness.
Whatever.
He’s right about this though.
Pickens is an IDIOT and a dump OSU Okie who lost a lot of money the past 2 years. Pickens shut up no one cares what u have to say or how to increase your oil and natural gas pockets!
Picken’s is right about natural gas. We should be encouraging increasing use of it for vehicles. It has some downsides, but those don’t include cost of availability in NA. We should also build the AK gas pipeline and drill up there.
All our over the road heavy vehicles have room for CNG or LNG tanks. Most farm equipment does. Most pickups could sacrifice a bit of space for CNG/LNG. Our federal regs make conversion very expensive, but really it is cheap on a gas engine. Heavy duty diesel trucks would need to be factory built. This isn’t a green issue..it is an economic fact issue. We shouldn’t be wasting natural gas in electricity generation which should be 100% nuclear or coal.
We could replace the 20% of EPG that is natural gas generate with nuclear..and move the gas to vehicles.
I’m all for American oil and gas but I have no time for con men who want taxpayers to fund the means for him to sell at prices he sets.
His little song and dance about doing it for America doesn’t mean much when he’ll run offshore for manufacturing and labor the first chance he gets.
Look at his behavior in the Texas panhandle. The taxpayers won’t fund the infrastructure for his wind farm scam so he’s taking his football and going home.
Yes Pickens is no longer saying wind power is the way to save us.
First he couldn’t get the state of Texas or any city to pay to build transmission lines from West Texas.
Then he finally admitted what we all knew. You never know when the wind is going to di down. DUH
I do howe ver agree we need to drill here so at least we no longer depend on the 18% or so we get from Arab countries
You can say that again.
And again.
And again.
Pickens is a con man on this.
He wants US taxpayers to pay for the easments, taking of land and all the infrastructure for his “middle of no where” windmil projects.
It is only profitable FOR HIM, if we taxpayers foot the bill.
the T Bone Pickens bailout program.
(what else can he do with all those third rate turbines?)
He is right about natural gas IMHO, but we also need to drill domestically and start building nukes. When the progressives get serious about that we'll know they seriously want to help the country.
Not holding my breath though.
Pickens has stopped urging Americans to buy electricity from his windmills and is no exhorting us to buy his natural gas. What a guy!
