Far left has taken over Democratic Party, Sen. Bayh says
LA Times ^ | 19 Jan 2010 | Anon

Victory has many proud parents. Defeat has a whole lot of pointing fingers. Or something like that.

As The Ticket noted first thing this morning, the blame game has already started in the startling Massachusetts U.S. Senate race, operating on the always dangerous assumption that someone has won (Republican Scott "I Drive a Pickup, You Know" Brown) and someone has lost (Democrat Martha "Ewh, Shake Hands with Those People?" Coakley) before the votes are counted.

But, hey, why not?

If staunch lifelong Democrat and son of a staunch lifelong Democrat Sen. Evan Bayh of Indiana is doing it, then it must be OK.

He's not yet joined the no-you-didn't-yes-we-did-why-didn't-you-call-for-help-sooner-well-hello-we-did-but-you-weren't-listening-because-of-that-inside-DC-healthcare-dance-Obama-wants-so-badly.

But he is warning that, assuming Coakley the Democrat is electoral toast come balloon-dropping time tonight, Democrats need to learn an important lesson -- and learn it quite quickly. Bayh, who is one of those gutless moderates who just keeps on winning because he listens and stays connected back home, says his party and president have simply abandoned moderation to push a far-left agenda that alienates moderates and, hello, independents, who happen to make up about half of the Massachusetts electorate.

Bayh is a gutless nobody who wants to be a somebody. Thanks to his dad, he was born on third base, but he thinks he’s hit a triple.

This guy Bayh is quick. It only took him about thirty-five years to figure out the Left took over his party.

Sounds like Al Gore. Or any Kennedy.

my email this morning to bill nelson of florida....:

Dear Mr Nelson,

I hope that you took notice last night as Scott Brown was elected to replace Mr Kennedy in the great state of Massachusetts.

The People of that state have spoken for the rest of us across this great nation. What happened there last night can and will happen across this great nation if you Mr Nelson and the other Democratic leaders do not listen to the People that elected you to office.

The People are saying no to the healthcare bill Reid and Pelosi are trying to ram down our throats.

The People are saying no more bribes buying votes to pass bills that noone has even taken the time to read.

The People are saying no to the hoax called global warming or climate change to pass more taxes on to them.

The People are saying no more bailouts for big corporations that continue to handout massive bonuses to the corporate bigwigs that ran the companies into deficits to begin with.

In closing Mr Nelson, We the People are saying NO!! If you continue to ignore us you will suffer the same fate as Mr Kennedy’s seat.

I implore you to call for an immediate end to the current negotiations on the senate healthcare bill until Mr Brown is seated.

I also implore you to call for the current senate healthcare bill to be scraped and start over again openly as promised and listen to the real concerns of the People.

Also, i believe the 1st real issue is that you should fight immediately for across the board tax cuts for all Americans including small businesses so that we can really stimulate this economy and put people back to work so that they can put food on their table and keep their homes.

This would be a start Mr Nelson. Do what the People elected you to do. Take charge and be a leader. If not, get out of the way.

Sincerely,

Bayh has the good sense to know when the jig is up, and the far left literally HATE HIM already.

He also has a 65% Approval rating as of mid December, a $12 million dollar warchest, and no real opponent except MAYBE Mitch Daniels, who probably won’t run.

Dem Party has the same problem that the GOP has — both have been infiltrated and nearly taken over by the progressives — who have their own agenda.

Yes, but it was a sensuous, voluptuous submission by the willing victim of the Progressive vampire.

I listened to MSNBC and CNN last night to see how they were spinning the loss.

Coakley was generally the fall guy for the loss. Almost never was Obama the cause for the loss.

Many of the MSNBC and CNN commentators were saying the Democrats needed to really push the HealthCare thru now. Because once the American Public experienced the joys of socialized medicine, the Democrats would be loved again.

If he is not happy with the state of affairs why did he support zer0 like all the rest of them in ‘08?! Like they didn’t see this garbage coming. Now that the American people are turning on them, the gutless ones are losing their nerve.

Bayh is still popular in his state? Too bad. I still say they should go after him and fund an opponent to the hilt and try to dump him. After yesterday we know it can be done.
