The Message of Massachusetts
The Wall Street Journal ^ | January 19, 2010 | Review & Outlook

Whether or not Republican Scott Brown wins today in Massachusetts, the special Senate election has already shaken up American politics. The close race to replace Ted Kennedy, liberalism's patron saint, shows that voters are rebelling even in the bluest of states against the last year's unbridled pursuit of partisan liberal governance.

It wasn’t even close!

The left is in SUCH BIG TROUBLE!

Blue Dogs better start looking over their shoulders. Even “safe” candidates better beware lest some upstart “teabagger” run against them.

I would LOVE to see 535 (give or take) people in Washington looking for “shovel ready” jobs about this time next year.

Martha Coakley — riding on coattails long enough to go from D.C. to the 2016 Summer Games in Rio de Janeiro!

I read an interesting article on the Politico. Apparently, the Dem lost because Mass won’t vote for a woman.

Yep. She lost because she is a she.

Nothing to worry about. Move along, folks.

Gergen won the race for Brown during the debate when he said “Ted Kennedy’s Senate Seat” and Brown corrected him and said it belonged to the people of Massachusetts. That was the turn.

Gergen’s fault!!

Those of us Republicans in blue states just need to sent a note to our senators that their years of not caring what we ask are over. Difi and boxer are getting mine tomorrow.

Course they won’t care. Brown got in due to sexist Mass never voting for a women.

Let’s make it happen in Florida, too, with Marco Rubio winning the primary against Charlie Crist, the ultimate RINO.

I disagree with the conclusions of this article, which depicts Obama as ceding leadership to the hard left of Congress. Obama IS the hard left, and this is what he and hyper-partisan Rahm wanted.

The message is that THERE IS A GOD....AND HE HAS A SICK SENSE OF HUMOR!!!!!

Only God could come up with something this funny. Teddy's seat (alright it belongs to the people) . 40 years worth of work. But Divine Providence sent Scott Brown here. Mary Jo, Jesus have forgiven Teddy and he is probably buying them a round at St. Peters Sports Bar and Grill in Heaven and toasting them.

Even Teddy thinks this is funny.

I think this is very important to remember...

With the exception of abortion (and even that message was pretty centrist)...

BROWN RAN AS A CONSERVATIVE AND WON IN MASSACHUSETTS.

In addition, he successfully defused all of Coakley's attacks, something not many Republicans do successfully in races like this. This is brilliant and a must-study for ALL GOP CANDIDATES.

Historic.
