GOP's Brown wins Mass. Senate seat in epic upset

BOSTON – In an epic upset in liberal Massachusetts, Republican Scott Brown rode a wave of voter anger to defeat Democrat Martha Coakley in a U.S. Senate election Tuesday that left President Barack Obama's health care overhaul in doubt and marred the end of his first year in office.

The loss by the once-favored Coakley for the seat that the late Sen. Edward M. Kennedy held for nearly half a century signaled big political problems for the president's party this fall when House, Senate and gubernatorial candidates are on the ballot nationwide.

Great graphic and I know Ann means it.

Isn’t it ironic that the person voted in to replace him in the Senate could be the very one to blow away his lifelong effort in that Senate for socialized health care.

I LOVE IT!!!

GO SCOTT BROWN

We don’t need the marines to handle these idiots. The American Militia have it under control. NJ, VA, MA are the first 3 rounds. November will be the final battle.

I am listening to his victory speech. I am not very impressed with his infatuation with Ted Kennedy.

It is great- the fun he is having talking about his beautiful daughters.

Scott Brown for President 2012!!!!!!!!!!!

Calm down. Be happy for the victory. Make sure it's but the first of many. But remember this guy Brown, he's a Northeastern Liberal. He just happens to be OUR liberal and hopefully, he'll vote to sink that damn bill. I don't know where he stands on the Second Amendment, but he's pro abortion for sure. I'm listening to his victory speech and he just embraced John McLAME. What does that tell you?

So give him time in his new office and hopefully, he'll settle down and come back to the political center maybe leaning right and he can stay there for many more terms. This race gives me hope for Palin and the other new young blood in our party. Like Jindal and others.

What is best in life?

To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of their women on Democratic Underground.

What I am learning is that the pundits....Matthews, Fineman, Willie Brown, all on CNN.....none of them get it.

I heard a little of Mark Halperin of TIME on WLS-AM Chicago a few minutes ago. He sure didn't get it. It was all downplaying and excuse making. "I don't think the republicans will be able to duplicate this again." THAT'S REDUNDANT YOU TWERP! He was talking to some other reporter, from Mass. I guess, and commented that the campaign had been "really ugly" and why was that? The reporter said that the Demos had panicked at the end and had "gone too negative" and Brown deflected it all with his "cheery dispostion." BWA HA!

Some random randog musings on this historic night....

The Spirit of ‘76 rises up again in the birthplace of the American Revolution—how inspirational is that?!

I’m very proud of my Massachusetts brothers and sisters. As a Nevadan, your dedication, spirit, and hard work inspire me to work to make sure that Dingy Harry never darkens the halls of Congress after this November.

Are we done with the Kennedys? Can we move on past the concept of “American Royalty”?

Is this election The Kenyan’s “Come to Mohammed” moment?

Oooooorahhhhhhhhh! What a sweet, sweet victory! At long last, I can truly say that I am PROUD to be from Massachusetts. We’ve finally come to our senses, and elected a smart, decent, liberty-loving, God-fearing, Constitution-respecting gentleman to the US Senate, to fill what used to be called the “Ted Kennedy seat”. I plan to refer to it from now on as the Scott Brown seat. Hopefully, we’ll find someone of equally high caliber to replace John Kerry the next time around. I also hope that this is a little taste of what will happen in November, when right-thinking folks will sweep the moonbats out of both the House & the Senate.
