Although to be honest, the argument would more strongly apply to attending the conference (where you could counter the message you disagree with), rather than being a co-sponsor of the event, per see.
If every conservative sponsor pulled out, it might well convince CPAC to be more auspicious in which groups it allows to sponsor it's meetings.
On the other hand, there are several legs of conservatism, and an organization trying to reach out to all conservatives may not want to start applying a litmus test on every last issue.
Focus seems to be changing since Dobson stepped down. there was a big hubaboo a few months ago about obamma, if I remember correctly, even shocked Dobson when he heard about it. It is a shame, no matter how you dress it up.

Actually, this is a good move.
The more presence the religious right has, the better. We can’t just give up on once-conservative institutions because the anti-religious hordes come on in. We have to put up a fight, or we’ll fall into the trap of taking the path of least resistance.
