Film Critic Roger Ebert, although outspoken about his anti-torture views, is not particularly consistent in his pacifist rhetoric.
In his review of the movie Taxi to the Dark Side, Ebert criticized Dick Cheney for the torture that is ascribed to the Bush administration in the film.
At the same time, though, Ebert called for talk radio host Rush Limbaugh to be horsewhipped for questioning President Obamas push of the White House government Web site as the way for a caring public to make donations to help Haiti.
Ebert penned an open letter to Limbaugh in the Chicago Sun Times, writing that having followed President Obama's suggestion and donated money to the Red Cross for relief in Haiti, I was offended to hear you [Limbaugh] suggest the President might be a thief capable of stealing money intended for the earthquake victims.
Limbaugh made no such suggestion. Ebert instead pulled the inflammatory words from his posterior but went on to reference a conversation that Rush had with one of his callers on his radio show.

meds? too much.. not enough?
I didn’t know Ebert was still breathing oxygen. I thought he had died.
Ebert’s balcony has been closed for some time now.
Wasn’t Limbaugh’s point that the US government would be more likely to squander it than a private agency would?
Rush didn't make the suggestion, but I will.
Obama would steal money given to Haiti and use it for himself. I have no doubt of that.
Maybe they meant Danny Glover. They’re easily interchangeable.
Since when did anything Roger Ebert said or wrote matter? Like the tree falling in the forest, when Roger speaks, no one hears him.
Ebert doing his Truman Capote impression..............
Roger Ebert eats live babies. He pulls the hair of old ladies. Roger Ebert pushes old men in wheel chairs off cliffs. He takes candy from small children.
Obama would never, ever, use the White House website for anything sinister, like collecting the names of political allies or opponents. No, never.
Ebert apparently doesn’t care what Rush’s point was. He has totally accepted the entire Left wing non-thought process.
Giving money to the Whitehouse.gov ( a political entity) for humanitarian aid is unprecedented.
who cares what Ebert thinks? He can’t even get movie reviews right....
1. If a movie extolled gay people he gave it a thumbs up.
2. If a movie had an anti-American theme he gave it a thumbs up.
3. If a movie praised the US Military he gave it a thumbs down.
4. If a movie had a happy, sweet, or moral ending, he gave it a thumbs down.
5. If a movie extolled some particularly quirky or perverted sexual practice, no matter how BAD the cinematography ,dialog or character development was, HE would give it a thumbs up.
Ebert criticized Dick Cheney for the torture that is ascribed to the Bush administration in the film. At the same time, though, Ebert called for talk radio host Rush Limbaugh to be horsewhipped...Ebert claimed after the 2000 election of President George W. Bush that Republicans had planted memes to delegitimize Gore's claims (y'know, when Gore and his thugs tried to hijack the election and carry out a coup d'etat). Thanks holy joe.
Good golly what a pic...he’s had more botox than Nancy P!
Yet he’s still quickly approaching Helen Thomas territory...
Maybe they’re the same person..................hmmm..........
Roger Ebert is an incredibly influencial man.
His mere presence and quiet commentary can move nations to change.
...or he’s just another gin soaked raisen liberal who eats his own poop.
