Coakley, Brown the buzz at MLK breakfast (barfy article, great comments in Boston Globe)
Boston Globe ^ | 1/18/2010 | Peter Schworm

Brown did not speak. After the opening addresses, he briefly worked the room, shaking hands and smiling for photographs before returning to his table. He left soon thereafter, followed by a sea of television cameras. He then blasted Coakley for using her appearance for "politicking."

"I didn't realize that this was a rally for Martha. And I thought it was inappropriate that she started asking for votes," Brown told reporters, according to State House News Service.

Both Coakley and Brown have a full plate of events around the state today, as they press for any undecided voters still out there.

Coakley is scheduled to be in Newton, Pittsfield, Springfield, Framingham, and Dorcester, before ending the day at the Eire Pub. Brown will be in Boston, North Andover, and Littleton before wrapping up his day with a rally in his hometown of Wrentham.

Almost every one likes Brown. No one - apart from the Democratic elite - can stand Coakley.

The stench of flop-sweat is all around her. Desperation and stupidity are not qualities voters want to see in their Senator.

Thanks for steering me to the comments.

Among my favorites:

“So Scott Brown, had Curt Schilling, Doug Flutie, and Cliff from Cheers show up for his rally....

CHOKEly had an undocumented worker from Kenya at hers...

hmmm....wonder who best identifies with Massachusetts’s voters???”

Here's a sampling of the comments...

It's a wrap, Coakley!

I've been campaigning with/for Scott Brown. As a MA-Resident, I admit for my lifetime, I have felt like a muffled voice (Republican) in moonbat-central Massachusetts. I never betrayed my beliefs...and with a successful career and family that depends upon me, it lends reason to - "I can't just pack-up and move to a Republican-State" (as I was always told by the radical-left.

I am so encouraged by the "People" that I have met. I have been on the road, campaigning with the Scott Brown Campaign! The people everywhere (IN MASSACHUSETTS) are really ignited, energized and anxious for this election. Massachusetts is truly eager for Scott Brown!

I cannot wait to get to the Polls Tuesday. I have a van rented for the whole day (I pick that up tonight, actually!). I am picking up people who do not have rides, elderly housing, disabled and more...all whom have called and wished to "get to the polls".

Please..."We The People" have the chance to "Take Back America". Scott Brown for U.S. Senate !! He is the 41st & Deciding-Vote to STOP THE MADNESS !! - STOP THE MACHINE!

Coakley's AD's are BOLD-FACED LIE's !! The People we are meeting "know it". They say it. They joke about it. They laugh "AT" Coakley.

We all need to get to the Polls! The DSCC/SEIU/ACORN will try and steal this election. DO NOT be intimidated! Send your message of disgust to the front doors of The White House...that you are sick and tired of having your voices smothered by the democrats-hypocrisy!

Tuesday - January 19th !! VOTE SCOTT BROWN - He can stop the madness! (And if you don't like him, you can vote him out anyways shortly....but you will like his work).

The more I have been able to campaign with Brown's Camp...the more unbelievable confidence I have seen grow. He is for real...don't listen or believe the Dems panic-stricken political machine! They are already scrambling, expecting a Coakley-Loss!

Let's make sure and give them just that!

SCOTT BROWN for Senate !!

Color Massachusetts "RED" on that map, now !!

Folks, take NOTHING for granted, tell everyone you know to get to the polls and vote for Scott Brown for US Senate. Drive them there if you have to. We need balance in Washington and representing this state, not more of the same 1 party corruption. ACORN, the SEIU and the machine will try to steal this election, your vote is sorely needed. Get it done!

I clicked on the article to read the comments. I found this in the comments (referring to Obama's speech Sunday):

He LIED again when he said Martha did this and did that in the MA Legislature, what he obviously does no yet know is she’s the AG, and AG’s don’t partake in the voting process of the MA legislative body. He obviously did no homework, he just delivered words, hoping someone would grab on, hook, line and sinker.

Is this true?

“1. Well, now, hold onta yer horses, there, Frazier. I mean, as a psychiatrist, isn’t it your job to, uh, `seek and uphold the truth’? Oh, get real, Cliff.”

This could also apply to Attorney General/Senatorial Candidates.

I wouldn't assign any weight to a vague comment like that without some source or the text of a speech (and where it was given).

That comment is the equivalent of "Brown hates kids, dogs and kittens...I heard him say so."
