The last year of creepiness and arrogance has opened some people’s eyes.

Nice! I had to laugh at the comment that the Brown people had to compete with Coakley people across the street. Compete? Looked to be less than 20 Coakley supporters up against hundreds.

I was there. The Coakley people (maybe 15-20) were huddled together in a tight group and surrounded by thousands of Brown people (we treated them respectfully and kept our distance). They had about as much effect as a pebble being tossed in a lake.

On the other hand, hundreds upon hundreds of Brown supporters stood outside the big Obama rally in Boston and got nary a shred of news coverage.

I deal with the same issues with my only brother.

He’s actually proud that he has become more and more liberal as he’s gotten older.

I keep hoping and praying that he’ll figure out that all these Democrats that he supports do not believe in the same things that he says he does, but he believes everything he hears on CNN and refuses to watch Fox. He says he doesn’t want anything to do with any network that would have Beck, O’Reilly or Palin on the air.

Your brother sounds exactly like my two younger brothers, who are both die-hard libs of the first order. They're both proud "Progressives".

I had much the same experience with them during the last years of Bush and during the 2008 elections, except in my case, the division is nearly at a war footing. My brothers haven't actually said it out loud, but the truth is that they've effectively disowned me as a sibling, due to my politics.

Besides one other brother who's a simple Republican voter, I'm the only conservative in a very large family who have all pretty much distanced themselves from me now.
