Red tide giving Governor Deval Patrick the blues
Boston Herald ^ | January 17, 2010 | Dave Wedge

While Martha Coakley’s campaign teeters on the brink of becoming the biggest political implosion since that of her predecessor, Tom Reilly, there’s another Bay State Democrat who’s watching the Scott Brown freight train in a state of terror: Gov. Deval Patrick.

Patrick insiders say the governor’s campaign people are horrified by Brown’s surge, considering that Patrick is facing a candidate eerily similar to Brown in Republican health-care honcho Charlie Baker, not to mention a well-funded moderate Democrat in independent candidate Treasurer Tim Cahill.

Deval is O’s canary in the coal mine. Deval was in trouble long before Scott Brown surged. The rumblings in Massachusetts are not just about Coakley. This is a fundamental shift.

Wouldn’t it be ironic if Massachusetts fires the first shots again in America’s SECOND revolution? This is just too good.

We’ve already had the second Revolution. It was the Southern War for Independence. The Revolutionaries lost.

Coakley said, “I’ve traveled the state and met tremendous people".

If she did, it was under the cover of darkness, with an assumed name.

She refused to debate on TV unless it was exactly on her terms. She went days without venturing out in public. When she did appear, it was typically to accept endorsements from elected officials or union heads in front of supportive crowds.

She may have gone the first month of the campaign without ever meeting an honest-to-goodness rank-and-file undecided resident.

It is too bad we let the MSM use red for Reps and blue for the Dems. Calling the Dems Red would have provided the true leanings of these socialists/Marxists. They are the true Red party and they control the real Red states.

I finally came to grips with the red when I realized that is mostly what I have in my closet as a Sooner fan here in Norman.

Another way to look at it is red is warm and blue is cold and I consider Obama an ice cold person with no heart.

Still couldn’t believe when they changed the colors.

Guess so. Down here in Texas I'm not all that informed about northeastern politicians unless they are really ‘big’ or make big news.

They (MSM) changed it for a reason. Red has always been associated with the Left.

Coupe Deval behaves the same as Obozo. MA gov’t is broke. The state legislature is corrupt. The chickens have come home to roost on the ‘Rats. The (D) label has lost its popularity.

Coakley said, “I’ve traveled the state and met tremendous people".

Well that explains some of her two hour luncheons. Wonder what advice her constituents (Kerry, Patrick and the Kennedy gravestone) gave her?

Romneycare (R-MA) in Massachusetts is really running up huge deficits
The media and Romney have managed to bury that little open secret from most of Americans - but not those who live in Massachusetts and have a brain
