And no, thats not taken out of context.
Entertainment Weekly asked Cameron to respond to some of the criticisms aimed at him regarding Avatar. Check out how he responded to this one:
EW: Avatar is the perfect eco-terrorism recruiting tool.
JC: Good, good. I like that one. I consider that a positive review. I believe in eco-terrorism.

I believe it. He made The Abyss which might have been a great flick if he hadn’t made the SEALs look like demented psychopathic murderers. Only flick I really liked of his was Aliens, and maybe True Lies. Guess he was more moderate with the cast back then. Don’t know what happened with the Abyss or Avatar.

Wonder if he will still feel that way after some eco-nut messes with his next movie.

My thoughts exactly - how these energy-sucking, resource-scarfing liberals can house such sentiments.

Well, we could all stay away from his future movies. For me, that would be easy. I don’t like any of his films.

Lets measure his “Eco Footprint” and send it to those he pretends to support.

Most of these clowns line in Avatar. Thier reoccuring acid trips they or thier parents were on in the 60’s. My movie review... American imperialistic genocidal militaristic mass killing of innocent civilians for greed and resources.

Saw Avatar. Nice movie, chock full of political correct hits. Sigourney Weaver,60, was hot to an old guy like me.
Yet Sigourney Weaver was rejected by Gaia, after all she played a s...s...s...smoker! lol

And, I support my right not to support your anti-American positions by not watching your POS movie Mr. Cameron.

And who, James Cameron gets to decide what eco-terrorism is? Do you in your wisdom get to decide? What do you use as criterion?
Is your Mansion(s) using too many resources. What about the Limos you undoubtedly ride around in? How about that?
Some believe anything larger than 2,500 sq ft constitutes a mansion? I'll bet your house(s) is (are) a lot larger than that? Why, James Cameron do you need so many resources? Can't you get by with a little less so others can have more?
I could go on but why? James Cameron, you are a pig. No wait that's an insult to pigs. I'll never go to another one of your movies. And besides you never made very good movies to begin with. Most of them are very overrated.
