You know what kills me? That these reporters can report and take photographs of these victims, but, they can’t bring them some water??? What the h$ll is wrong with them? I was just listening to Jonathan Hunt (Fox News) reporting on an orphanage having no food and no water, saying it was easy to get to; easy to bring aid to, and all he’s doing is reporting on it. WHY the he!! can’t HE and his crew bring some water and food to the babies? What is going on???? It’s making me sick.
That IS sickening.
I’m hoping that behind the scenes, those reporters and their crews are arranging for some kind of assistance. Otherwise, they’re just scum.
I would like to know why we keep hearing of missionaries so glad to get out on a flite and get back home...
ok...so why did you go down there if you buzz out at a crisis?
(in Haiti extensively 1987-2001)
btw...for the torches and pitchforks crowd here...it doesn’t matter whether aid “fixes” the hellhole known as Haiti
it’s about being decent to help folks right now who are within easy reach of our help
no I don’t think Haiti can be permanently fixed baring something like half the population moving to Senegal on that offer and a more skilled culture and capital coming in bigtime but that does not mean just letting folks die today if we can help
Slow down. Some of the reporters *are* providing water. I watched the Fox News special last night, with Geraldo, and did hear him say that they’ve provided a good amount of water to that specific orphanage.
Providentially, nine families from my church are adopting children from that very orphanage in Haiti. Some have been “in the process” for two years.
