He's got to win for this to matter much. He loses and it's all just a memory in a couple of weeks.

Americans having a bad case of voters' remorse. They thought Obama would be a black JFK. Instead, they got a black Jimmy Carter.

Maybe they are “being driven by their esteem for Kennedys memory” and are trying to make amends. Such a move would be most welcome.

No one cares about Ted Kennedy's legacy. People are worried about jobs, the economy and their children's well-being. Issues to which the Democrats are not paying attention. Washington is aloof and tone deaf to Americans' entreaties.

Still, it is shocking to see that in the Fishwrap. Also, while health care was Kennedy’s pet, his support was based largely on the Kennedy cult-of-personality and his seniority in the Senate, not on the things he stood for. Why, he could get away with murder if he wanted to back in the day.

they got a black Jimmy Carter. Even worse than Jimmy Carter.

Instead, they got a black Jimmy Carter. Worse; they got a black FDR.

Ted Kennedy was a wholly singular force. He had no real successor and Coakley looks small next to the deceased liberal lion of American politics. She doesn't command voter allegiance the way he did.

I don’t know what they are worried about, the machine will still be recounting and reinterpreting ballots when the next election rolls around.

He loses and it's all just a memory in a couple of weeks. Not true. His campaign exposed dissatisfaction across the political spectrum in one of the bluest states. If the tide is turning in Massachusetts, that's not a good sign for the Dems nationally.
At the Web sites of liberal newspapers across the country, reader comments are overwhelmingly in support of Brown. This is not just a local phenomenon.

How can the Senate race be too close to call? Even people in blue Mass are sick of having crap shoved down their throats.
This is the beginning of a peaceful revolution.

Boy, you’ve got to be kidding....and the impostor is to be in Mass tomorrow and the globe writes an article like this...WOW...a complete left leaning newspaper and instead of blaming Coakley for the upcoming loss...they’ve blamed the impostor with his radical policies along with the dimwits in congress passing the radical policies...rightfully so...

"..Her claim in last weeks televised debate that the terrorists in Afghanistan are not there anymore suggested a dangerous naiveté on national security, while her huffy response when asked why she has been such a passive campaigner - As opposed to standing outside Fenway Park? In the cold? Shaking hands? - came across as sneering and elitist...."
"..Never had a new administration been greeted with such rapturous enthusiasm. Obamas standing above the country, above the world, Newsweek editor Evan Thomas exulted. Hes sort of God..."
The article has good stuff and from the Boston Globe no less! Liberals can be obnoxious too.

Well, he didn't care too much for Mary Jo's legacy either, or the future of America...so, good riddance, I say.

FDR was the greatest Democratic President of the 20th Century. Obama is no FDR. Some people would debate your first sentence. Think President Truman. Thank God we had them both during the worse crisis of the 20th Century.
Your second sentence is a tautology and thus needs no proof whatsoever. Absolutely true without a doubt. Obama is absolutely no Democrat (or Republican) President. He is simply a wolf in sheep's clothing.

I dont understand what I am reading...who is that author? it reads like a conservative rag instead of leftiest of the lefts rag.How can this be from the libs who endorsed Coakley...
