But never, and I mean never, could anyone ever make the mistake of calling me a Yankee fan. Well, check that, if you didnt know what the hell is going on in your own state maybe you could
.
She had a ‘D’ after her name and it’s Massachusetts.
Four days before a senatorial election, and she is feuding with a professional baseball player. This is rich.
Nice to see a pitcher hit one out of the park!!!
I wonder if this is running all over Mass? Anyone know if the press is playing this up there? I sometimes wonder if all her gaffes are actually being heard by the people who count.
You beat me to it.
Peter principle, MA, is a hack infested apparatchik state. She played that game. The folks of MA maybe revolting against Obamacare and this system in MA at the same time. Maybe they have finally had enough
I get the impression the Sports-Talk crowd don't do politics, but boy she has given them this and the not wanting to stand out in the cold @ the hockey game to talk about. The guys and gals listening will probably brand her as a maroon in Bugs Bunny parlance and maybe even vote against her.
Did you hear her interview with Dan last night? He said the night before that she would only give him 15 minutes and wouldn’t take any callers questions. Unlike Brown who was on earlier in the week for an hour.
Wow, even the New York Times is picking up this story today. Hopefully will be discussed on Sports Talk Radio on Monday.
38. Curt’s jersey #, also Coakley’s IQ.
see post #6.
This is absolutely extraordinary, that a woman running for the Senate seat in MassachussettEs would not know Curt Schilling and his role in ending the 100 year long “CURSE” of the Sox. Far worse than JFnK’s “Lambert Field” gaffe. These MA Dem pols really are far removed from ‘the people.’
Thanks EDINVA, I can’t believe I overlooked post #6. That information was what I was looking for before I posted.
FReegards!
Curt Schilling was never a Yankees fan, but he fanned a lot of Yankees.
Please tell us more! Have the local papers picked it up (no, I don't mean the Globe)? Where are you hearing/seeing it?
Local papers (even neighboring states), television news, even FM rock jocks are ragging on Coakley for ‘dissing’ Schilling about it...stations that carry sports talk are the best...Sox fans are ripped! BAD move on Coakley’s part...I have a feeling talk radio show hosts like Howie Carr and Jay Severin will fan the cooling embers back into a bonfire come Monday afternoon.
No problem.
Your typo was minor.
Back in the 1970’s, there was a story in a national magazine about a baseball pitcher. The article was supposed to say that he was first in hits and first in pitches, instead, it was printed “he was first in hits and first in bitches.” Bitches? Every guy who saw that laughed like hell.
