Purple for Brown: SEIU Member Supports Republican
American Spectator ^ | 1/15/10 | Robert Stacy McCain

WORCESTER, Mass. - Supporters of Republican Scott Brown lined the sides of a street here outside a Democratic rally at Worcester Polytechnic Institute where former President Bill Clinton came to campaign for Martha Coakley.

More than 75 boosters of the GOP candidate turned out for the counter-rally, standing the sub-freezing weather to wave Brown signs and loudly sing (to the tune of "Battle Hymn of the Republic"), "Glory, Hallelujah . . . Send Scott Brown to D.C.!"

Among the Brown supporters were - believe it or not - rank-and-file members of the Service Employees International Union.

Exactly right! They are a smoke screen for the upcoming attempted theft of the election by the SEIU/ACORN scum.

Massachusetts General Court’s AG Suborns Violence (Again)

Attorney General Martha Coakley (D) oversees attacker Michael Meehan
as her pre-paid goon (also an Obama appointee and SEIU and PhRMA representative)
hits hard on an unarmed, innocent, unsuspecting reporter for rapist-freeing Coakley and the vote cheating-DNC.

I would guess that this is groundwork for some kind of counter smear using Brown to clean-up the tainted RAT tool SEIU or, conversely, connecting Brown to SEIU in the general public’s mind where the fine details of who’s who and on what side get fuzzy or lost. It’s make a great photo on election day smear sheets for illegal distribution among voters on their way to the polls.

This shouldn’t be surpising. It’s a complete myth that all union members are socialists who toe the union line. My brother is a Teamster, and always votes for convervatives - not because of religion or education or anything like that. It’s simply that he works hard and it infuriates him that his “reward” is to pay high taxes to subsidize lazy jerks who live off government cash-hydrants.

My wife is in a union (IATSE), and I was in a union (UFCW) while working my way through college.

There are MANY good people in unions who can see through the BS of unions, that’s why unions need card-check so badly, so they can intimidate these decent and honorable folk. Let’s not automatically paint all union people as horrible thugs, most of them are victims, like the folks who lived in the worst union of all, the Soviet Union.

I'm pretty sure the Sooey*-thugs wouldn't show up on the Republican side with or without the purple tee-shirt for fear of harsh reprisal from leadership...unless they were told to.

You know what, I don’t think so. And here’s why...

While I find Glenn Beck as entertaining and as interesting as anyone, I strenuously object to what seems to be an overarching notion he has: which is when Obama crashes the system, that Americans will just “take it.”

Before I go on, can you imagine the conversations that must go on at the WH? “I can’t believe I’m getting ripped on by some guy pulling sky high ratings every day just as he is conducting an American history class.” LOL Yeah, that’s a winning formula. I’m sure Roger Ailes nearly coughed up a fur ball signing Beck’s contract. LOL I think Beck is a brilliant entertainer and I’m not using the term “entertainer” to demean him, but to praise him. My dear Mr. Easterday (high school history teacher) must be smiling down from heaven.

But all the doom and gloomers are forgetting one huge thing and that is how long Americans have been free. I don’t give a shit how many gov’t checks you are getting, how many breaks, I’m here to tell you that there comes a moment when the rubber meets the road and people realize their very freedom is threatened. That is exactly where we are right this moment.

Unions or no unions I promise you on the head of my only child that Americans recognize danger when they see it (even if they voted for his kinder, gentler side) and they will react.

Obama was not the beneficiary of a traditional American upbringing, and that explains why HE can’t recognize the anger he sees....but those retiring members of House and Senate DO recognize that anger.

And they are getting out of Dodge....

Then they should seek each other out and work to decertify and/or sue these filthy criminal enterprises out of existance.

I don’t disagree with much of what you say. What I was getting at is one probable RAT strategy. It should go without saying that this particular ploy isn’t going to turn things for Coakley, but that’s rarely the way things work. Instead, mud is thrown continually and, eventually, some sticks in the minds of some voters. Do enough dirty politicking early enough (the media’s job) and legitimate votes may tip in favor of the shrewd and manipulative - whatever else is needed can me manufactured or suppressed. This is likely one effort on the RAT playlist.

If this were an actual, legitimate, SEIU Brown supporter, they’d have a clue about SEIU’s negative effect on likely Brown voters or they would repudiate their union in a show of support.

Just sayin’

True enough, brother. I labored in the union fields for decades sowing seeds of political conservatism - there are pockets of conservatives (wherever thinking is allowed). It is also true that most working class people are basically conservative in their core values. Unfortunately, though, mostvoting unionistas will pull the left-leaning lever for the sake of their pocketbook - at least, that's the cover the unions give them for their support of corruption.

“and that explains why HE can’t recognize the anger he sees”

yeah I’ll say.

Did you see him a couple of days ago raging about how the opposition is the “status quo” and healthcare reform is going to pass? He doesn’t get it.

THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG HERE!!

The SEIU at all levels, National, State, and Local is throwing all it resources to support Cloakly. Individual union members, perhaps a large number, are supporting Brown.

I have belonged (and still do) to a union and am a life-long conservative Republican and FREEPER for the past few years.
It is inconceivable to me that the woman in the picture would be wearing, for everyone to see,the purple SEIU shirt unless she had prior approval from someone in the union leadership. If she was doing this on her own, she would be ostracized by all of her fellow union members and co-workers.
This does not smell right.
