Rush Limbaugh, Pat Robertson take heat on remarks
Politico ^ | 1/14/10 | Andy Barr

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh and televangelist Pat Robertson are being scolded for their comments in the immediate aftermath of an earthquake in Haiti that has killed tens of thousands, according to early estimates.

Critics from both the left and right are denouncing their remarks as insensitive to the disaster and attempts to score political points off human tragedy....

Limbaugh’s comments have been widely panned.

"They are deeply insensitive," said conservative commentator Pat Buchanan on MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

"The president speaks for the country when he says we're going to go in there,” he said. “You want your whole nation, and it's very positive. And I think Rush's comments were cynical."

Sitting next to Buchanan on set, host Joe Scarborough called Limbaugh's comments “deplorable"

"The insensitivity is stunning," said the former Republican congressman....

Don’t let facts get in the way of you posting ignorant garbage.
It’s never stopped you before.

LOL -- when Pat Buchanan calls you "insensitive", you know you've gone too far....

It says more about Buchanan than it does Limbaugh.

“They are deeply insensitive,” said conservative commentator Pat Buchanan on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

So Pat turns out to be yet another Media “Conservative” who will sell out in a pathetically desperate attempt to get face time.

Joe and Pat, too never beens, holding hands in a vain attempt to get someone to pay attention to their clown act.

Maybe someone should tune them in to this article.

Unsurprisingly, Rush Is Right.

"deeply insensitive

Buchanan has no idea what Rush actually said, yet makes this kind of comment.

What a maroon.

Nothing is more important than the war in Massachusetts ... Bingo! For the first time in my life, I have donated to a Senate campaign outside of my own state. 0bama is providing cash bribes to union voters for the health care atrocity, and people are focusing (AGAIN!) on misquoting Rush.

Pat Buchanan is a leech on the Republican party. He is doing the David Gergen schtick: being a reliable basher for libs. A hooker.

Blanco got big time pressure from the Dimocratic leadership to exclude Bush from providing any type of federal aid because they did not want to give him the opportunity to gain political points.

This is why Blanco was run out of office and replaced by a Conservative. All of my family is from Louisiana and they know the truth. Blanco flat refused federal help but it was eventually forced upon her.

Rush sets the media up...he identifies the file that will be taken out of context, he says it, then exposes them the next day. It’s just too easy.

Either the Tea Party People take over the GOP, or they must start a new party.

It is not an either or proposition, we MUST take the Republican party back. Anything else is handing a victory to our enemies. Don't support the Republican party, work to "fundamentally change" it.

In his real life, Rush is a very nice man and generous.

The only reason he acts like an obnoxious asshole on his show is because all his listeners are obnoxious assholes and that is what they want to hear.

The way to start is to run for county GOP committee seats.

There are frequently openings unfilled and, while an unglaorous job, there are occasions to forward a conservative agenda.

“RUSH: Well, I’m glad you did and I’m glad you called, Carol. Thanks very much. I had somebody go to WhiteHouse.gov to see what the donation process is. And this is all the guidance you get on donating to Haiti at the White House site. What I’m going to read to you is buried in a very long blog post about what Obama said about the earthquake. You get that first, you gotta read what Obama said, the maximum leader, you gotta read what he says and then you get to the bottom and here’s what it says. “You can also help, immediately, by donating to the Red Cross to assist the relief effort. Contribute online here, or donate $10 to be charged to your cell phone bill by texting Haiti. Find more ways to help through the Center for International Disaster Information.” So that’s all the guidance you get. Now, that’s pretty easy, text Haiti and you’re gonna get billed for ten bucks and that money ostensibly is going to go to Haiti.”

That's an interesting theory.

Perhaps you have a theory as to why you are being an obnoxious asshole?
