Yes I did read the transcript, It's obvious beyond reasonable doubt that Rush was taken out of context. He never said anything about not contributing to the Haiti relief effort.

The Red Cross has raised more than $564 million for the Liberty Fund, which was set up in response to the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
While the agency states on its Web site that it is spending more than any other relief agency responding to the terrorist attacks, it has distributed only $154 million.
Healy was hammered by one New York official for the Red Cross’ decision to put aside nearly half of the money raised for future needs that may include terrorist attacks.

My sympathies to anyone who reads the San Francisco Chronicle.
Based on the track record, sending money to Red Cross does nothing to help the current crisis. Then Rush’s caller was correct and Rush was correct to agree. Red Cross donations do not make it to the current tragedy.
I wonder what kind of power and influence one can have by investing 1/2 billion dollars for some future event? Control companies? Control banks? Who gets the power? What do they do with it?

I am also giving to my local Church, Trinity United Methodist Church in Hackettstown, NJ. They were there when the quake hit and just arrived back here in NJ, last night. Dr. Fowler and his volunteers have been helping the Haitians for many years.
