As you all know, Vermont is pretty hopeless.
I just checked around a bit, and I find that Patrick Leahy is up for re-election to the Senate this year. I know Bernie Sanders is a Socialist, but at least he’s a human being. Patrick Leahy strikes me as the coldest fish in the Senate. It would be worth beating him with ANY kind of Republican, frankly.
His opponent is named Len Britton. I never heard of him, but will try to find out what I can. Here’s his web site:
We have only one Congressman, Peter Welch. I can’t find out who his opponent is, if any, but I’ll chip in if I do. He won going away last time, and is probably unbeatable, but we’ll see.
Thank you, Cicero. I appreciate it.
Here’s Len Britton on the issues. Only some of the issues, but he’s right on those, at least:

I’m especially impressed that he is willing to talk about sustainable energy in terms of natural gas, shale, nuclear, and coal. I don’t know how well that will sell in Vermont, but it’s impressive that he even dares mention coal and nuclear—which, of course, is what we need to pursue if we want reliable energy that actually works.
