Haiti [should get credit] for overthrowing a slaveholder regime

.. uh, well.. not quite yet. There are still slaves to be freed.

When the horror has been dealt with and recovery is in progress perhaps Haitians might google, Haiti slavery children, and start dealing with another horror.

While they're at it they may as well clean up ongoing horrors of a corrupt society and criminal rulers also.

“Haiti slavery children”

Thanks, hadn’t heard that one.

Up to 300,000 children have been given away by their parents in Haiti.

Many of them end up working for other families as domestic servants. Haiti is one of the world’s poorest countries and families who cannot afford to feed their children give them away under what it is called the Restavek system.

It is supposed to ensure the youngsters get food, shelter and schooling.

However as Mike Thomson reports from Haiti the reality is very different.
