Yeah, like when Fargo ND flooded last spring. Remember all the stories of helplessness and looting? /sarc

Were the dead stacked by the thousands in the street?

Also, people in Fargo are used to bad weather and probably had stockpiles of food as many do. I doubt the Haitians make enough money to stockpile food (probably live day to day on food) but also, if they did, it's all beneath a huge pile of rubble.

No food, no shelter, no water, no comparison.

Many here need to visit a 3rd world nation at least once.

The notion of having stockpiles or spares is truly a western one.

The lack of compassion shown by many here is truly disturbing.
