Our maoist administration has already blamed Bush.

Because Bush/Cheney put all our resources into keeping us safe after 9/11 there was less attention paid to Haiti.

Ergo, the earthquake hit a city beleaguered by Bush/Cheney.

Clearly this is no low too low for this cabal.

Will they blame Bush?

British newspaper The Guardian did in its lead editorial today.

Why can't he wave his hope & change wand over Haiti and make it better in 24 hrs. Nah, He's the incredibly shrinking pantie waste boy.

Ray Nagin must be down there telling people they are not allowed to help unless they are Haitian natives.

yep! Instead of digging in and doing what they can with the limited resources they have, they are now on the verge of rioting.........

The people in China who were hit with a much bigger quake a couple of years ago, and are not a lot better off financially, all lined up and moved concrete blocks by hand until some kind of equipment arrived. Seems like the thing to do.

40 years? We occupied Haiti in 1915. Ran it for twenty years. Like a stagnant pond, after we left and our ripples settled, the scum returned and soon the place was as if we had never been there.

Haiti has been a "failed state" since independence in 1804. Nothing new down there now.

>> I think [Hurlaldo and Shep] would both be very good roadblock material.

Hurlaldo’s massive ego alone could block several major highways. If they have any to block.

No problem, Bush has agreed to get involved and take all blame.

Am I the only one who is wondering why the very same Obama who criticized George W. Bush again and again about how poorly he handled Katrina (which was a bunch of BS!), now asks him to go to Haiti to help oversee the rescue efforts?

Were I Bush, I would have let the call go to voicemail.

That’s really bright — demanding quicker relief efforts. The US will do as much as it can as soon as it can. Taking care of millions of displaced people is unbelievably difficult—and on an island, no less. It boggles the mind.

It is the same after every natural disaster.

Remember the earthquake in Japan. Blaming the government for a slow response. Needless to say, the roads were impassable.

And of course, who can forget Katrina being all President Bush’s fault.

I have such heartache for the people suffering in Haiti.

The suffering of the living has just begun. sigh.

Steve Harrigan from Fox News has been on the scene. But, not much help as of yet. Looks like logistics play a roll in recovery and help for the needy.

How will Obama look in the recovery of this nation so close to our shores? I don't see food and water dropping out of the sky in Haiti. Guess it takes time and organizing to get things done after a major disaster. . . will the media make allowances for the Obama administration?

With no infrastructure to build on the chances of
an epidemic will grow quickly with that many unburied
and water and sanitation facilities destroyed.

Dear God,

Help these people to help themselves and quit blaming the rest of the world for their problems as they prepare to riot against those who are there to help.

In Christ’s Name.

Amen

There. Fixed it for you.

The USA has been helping this place for 40 years and little to no improvement has been made.

Indeed. Which is why it surprises me when anyone expects them to handle this disaster in a reasonable way, and expects them to handle the aid and relief effort in a rational manner. Nothing about this is going to go well. Nothing.
