The liberal and left-wing reaction against Fox News political commentator Brit Hume's comments on Fox News Sunday this week telling Tiger Woods to turn his life around by leaving Buddhism and becoming a Christian has been startling.
One MSNBC host said that Hume's comments "diminished" Christianity and that his "Christian friends" agreed with him.
Then, bloggers on radical left-wing websites like The Huffington Post began insulting Brit Hume for daring to mention Christianity in a positive light.
Finally, comic lightweight Jon Stewart and one of his goofy commentators on Tuesday night's episode of "The Daily Show" on Comedy Central weighed in by mocking Brit Hume and his Christian faith while showing vastly truncated clips from Hume's appearances Sunday and Monday night on Bill O'Reilly's show.
This is the way Jon Stewart and his staff operates:
Take a deliberately truncated clip from the person you want to attack, then self-righteously mock and ridicule them and the statement whose meaning you have just distorted.
This tactic is straight out of Neo-Marxist humbug Saul Alinsky, the author of "Rules for Radicals," one of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton's favorite books.
For example, Alinsky's Rule No. 5 states, "Ridicule is man's most potent weapon. It's hard to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, which then reacts to your advantage." Rule No. 13 says, "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it" (see pages 127-134 of Alinsky's book).
As implied by these attacks on Brit Hume's statements, Saul Alinsky's ideology was derived from the Anti-Christian Neo-Marxist Antonio Gramsci. Gramsci's goal was to assault Christian values and the Bible's moral absolutes that form the fabric of Western Civilization, America, and the United States Constitution.
By destroying these principles, Gramsci, Alinsky, and their communist sycophants have been able to co-opt or corrupt not only many poor people, union members, churches, and the middle class, but also many wealthy people and many big corporations.
And, they have been able to infiltrate the mass media and turn much of it against the Christian, American, constitutional values of the United States and its Christian founders.
That is also, of course, why Christian history and American history are two of the main targets of these leftist radicals.
Because of their attacks on history, many American citizens not only have little or no understanding of the transcendent Christian, biblical truths that made the United States the greatest country on earth, they also have little or no understanding of the historical background that supports these transcendent principles.
There is good news, however.
Americans can fight the Anti-Christian, Anti-American bigotry, mockery, and virtual slander coming from these misguided, uninformed Kool-Aid drinkers of Alinsky and Gramsci's by teaching the truth about the Christian, biblical, American values that made America great and that can transform those of us who, like Tiger Woods, have lost our way.
Furthermore, our success in fighting them will increase steadily daily and monthly as more and more people see the emptiness, falsehood, failure, and sinfulness of their speech, their policies, and their actions.
As Brit Hume noted on Monday (borrowing a page from 1 Peter 2:6-8 and other New Testament passages), the Holy Name of Jesus Christ is offensive to the unrepentant non-believer.
Anti-Christian bigots, mockers, and skeptics will always attack, ridicule, and persecute people like Brit Hume. They do so because of their own lack of faith, their own sins, and their own lack of morality, love, knowledge, and truth.
God bless Brit Hume and the other courageous Christians who tell it like it is. Long may they run!
Most Communists see the State as God.
Just replying to say I entirely with with Dr. Ted.
Jon Liebowitz(Stewart) doesn’t have the canjones to poke fun at the ‘religion of peace’.
This is also what Hitler did to the Jewish people. Ridiculing over and over again until people begin to believe the lies, is demonizing a whole group of people. It can lead to only one conclusion and it won't be pretty. This small loud mouth minority is defining who Christians are. Never mind, we give by far, more money to charity's than any liberal. Never mind Christians voluntary more time to help the poor, never mind that we are what makes this country great. Are we perfect no. He who is perfect can cast the first stone and evidently the liberals in this country think they are perfect. They are never civil, never a civil debate, they spew vile things about us as a whole, they name call, they demonize at ever opportunity and run it into the ground. Until they have a chance to do it again.
Of all people, being Jewish and what Hitler did to his people, should know better. Shame on him.
While I support Humes interjection of faith into the discussion, I do not support him trumpeting one religion over another.
This country was founded by people who wanted the freedom to talk about and practice religion freely. Here we are back at square one again.
Don’t think of it as religion - think of it as truth.
There you go -
there is the Truth of Christianity (John 18:37),
and there is everything else that opposes that Truth (worldliness).
“Dont think of it as religion - think of it as truth.”
Ok. Then I do not support him trumpeting one truth over another.
I tried Buddhism, TM, a bunch of other things, years ago. None, NONE, gave me the freeing power, the amazing experience of pure love, the healing power, joy and peace, that I have experienced with knowing Jesus Christ. This is how Brit felt, I know he did because that's what I've gone through. Better to be bashed then never sharing the joy, peace, love, you've found with Jesus. And hoping others find him too. It's done out of love and a hope of seeing someone else set free. If that gets you a fat lip, killed, mocked, jeered at, made fun of, ect. so be it. The possibility of seeing someone set free is worth it.
Ok, what if someone else’s truth, believes that killing anyone that doesn’t believe like they do, is there truth and they act upon it. What then?
So you are saying you support neither freedom of religion or freedom of speech? Are you sure you’re on the right site?
Most children don't have the power of government over you. These emotional and intellectual "children" do have that power.
We cannot afford to just ignore them--they will just continue to grow in influence.
No defense necessary. His opinions and speech are constitutionally protected and the real answer to his critics should be piss off and die.
If you hate your brother according to Jesus, it’s the same as murdering him. So to say or even think, p*ss off and die isn’t an option for us. God loves them just as much as He loves us, and Jesus died for them, just as He died for us.
Sorry, after thought, I should have added: Ephesians 6:12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Wow, just two little sentences, and the truth of your post hit me like a whallop. Well said!
