Yeah! My brother is a homo, I hate him. (He’s living in a log cabin: do I need the sarc tag?)
You’re welcome.
Btw, his name was Don and he was a lovely man. We still miss him.
Get a clue.
The American Conservative Union asked FedEx for a check for $2 million to $3 million in return for the groups support in a bitter legislative dispute, then the groups chairman flipped and sided with UPS after FedEx refused to pay.
For the $2 million plus, ACU offered a range of services that included: Producing op-eds and articles written by ACUs Chairman David Keene and/or other members of the ACUs board of directors.
The conservative groups remarkable demand black-and-white proof of the longtime Washington practice known as pay for play was contained in a private letter to FedEx , which was provided to POLITICO.
The letter exposes the practice by some political interest groups of taking stands not for reasons of pure principle, as their members and supporters might assume, but also in part because a sponsor is paying big money.
In the three-page letter asking for money on June 30, the conservative group backed FedEx. After FedEx says it rejected the offer, Keene signed onto a two-page July 15 letter backing UPS. Keene did not return a message left on his cell phone.
Maury Lane, FedExs director of corporate communications, said: Clearly, the ACU shopped their beliefs and UPS bought.
I’m not going but I don’t have heartburn with you or anyone else going.
CPAC’s problem isn’t the Mormons. It is about endorsing the gay agenda. We’re not going to help them do that (and I will also remind freepers that it was the Mormons who were critical for the passage of Prop 8 in CA)
CPAC is promoting the spreading of AIDS?
My response: Yeah it's so much FUN watching our family and friends die from Aids. /s
Btw, his name was Don and he was a lovely man. We still miss him.
Go play games with someone else.
When was the last "sponsored" CPAC, and specifically who sponsored it?
I was insensitive in my previous post.
I’m sorry for your loss. :(
So, for the third year running, the D.C. Chapter of Free Republic will have a booth at CPAC.
No one's stopping you from going this year.
Playing word games?
Your Post 62: Doesn't there need to be evidence of previous support in order to initiate a boycott?
My Post 83: FR did have a booth in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
FR did have a booth in 2003, 2004 and 2005.
What is your problem? Jim Robinson said there won't be an official FR presence there this year. You have an issue with it, talk to him.
You paying? Wait, the camels nose........nevermind.
Thank you. It was a blow. Hubby saw a man last week in a parking lot and thought it was Don. Hard to take.
I guess the lack of funds is stopping many of us from attending. It’s not cheap for us in flyover to go to the east coast to attend a function that’s been co-opted by the liberals. And $200 a night hotel rooms are foreign to us. Not everyone has unlimited funds to just jet off to DC to muck it up with ‘the intelligent people’. We have bills and family and kids and all sorts of stuff that makes it impossible for us to attend a CPAC event. Sorry, we live in reality, and have to prioritize, we are responsible for our lives. But soon, zero will make it possible to worship him, courtesy of the producers. And we’ll learn the ‘new history’ of the USA.
I’ve only been to DC once, and the flight up the Potomac is awesome! and that was only a layover to PA. I’ve been trying to talk hubby into a DC trip, but now, we have to wait until bambi is out of office. I think we’ll eventually do the senior bus trip in 10-20 years,
I have never been to a dog fight or helped perform an abortion so I guess I must be wrong for hating them?
Pssst! Don’t tell your wife that I love you, ok? lol
