Sustaining such a privilege would let an executive agency assert that anything it self-defines as its "mission" would be immune from scrutiny. Well, yes. That's basically the point, isn't it? The funny part is when the author tells Dems they should worry about the "precedent" they'll send by not opposing Justice's behavior. *snort* As if.

Conservatives, inherently, wouldn’t do this sort of thing, and won’t use it to political or other advantage if they gain power.
This sort of thing is totally the purview of those that are goals oriented instead of rules oriented.
