Coakley’s death penalty chameleon act unimpressive (Liberal Media turning on Coakley)

LAST OCTOBER, I sat down with Martha Coakley to talk about the issues.
US Representative Michael Capuano, who was running as the unabashed liberal in the Democratic primary, had portrayed her as cautious about speaking out on progressive causes, and Coakley was ready to hit back.

They may not like Coakley, but the writer also says that he’s even less impressed with Brown.

Beautiful - sounds like the author doesn’t want to vote for anyone. Another not-fired-up stay-at-home liberal. Fine by me.

He will get the death penalty if he is found guilty, she said. Brown then asked whether she agreed that he should get the death penalty. Yes, because that is what the federal law says right now, Coakley replied.I saw that. What a WEAK response that was. It was painfully obvious that she was against executing KSM.

He strikes me not as a moderate Republican in the Bill Weld mold, but rather as a crypto-conservative trying to distance himself from his right-wing stands. That's life in Massachusetts for you.

He doesn't have to vote for Brown, just stay home. And the more articles that come out like this the more Dems will find a reason to stay home on election day.
This is going to be very close. Every Dem that stays home is one more vote that SEIU and ACORN have to cheat up. And the more they cheat, the better the chance they will get caught.
The bets result of this election is obviously that Brown wins and we have enough votes to stop Obamacare. Failing that we might make it a Pyrrhic victory in that by making their cheating so obvious that there will be a backlash. Forcing investigations and allowing better policing of the polling places in 2010. They may win this race only at the cost of being unable to cheat to victory in a dozen races in November.

I agree. Voter turnout and voter intimidation are probably more important at this point than the actual campaign.
A discouraged Democrat base that stays home would certainly help by increasing the gap that the thugs have to close.
