Did the study find any adverse effects from starvation?

Ha! According to the authors of the study:

“Unfortunately, some important measurements serving as markers for liver function were not conducted for technical or unknown reasons. This included gamma glutamyl transferase after 90 days feeding, cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the NK 603 and MON 810 trials, and cytochrome P450 family members in all cases. In addition, important sex difference markers were also ignored such as blood sex or pituitary hormone levels. Furthermore, it is well known and present in OECD guidelines that measurements should be conducted for at least 3 different experimental points to study dose- or time-related effects. Contrastingly and for reasons that are not stated, in all three studies for all three GMOs, only 2 doses and periods of feeding were measured, which makes it difficult to evaluate dose and cumulative effects.”

In other words, we screwed up on all the basics but believe us anyway!

It figures that Slashdot would post a self-reported bogus “study.”

Man is likely to suffer the same problem. Genetically altered seeds are for the benefit of the growers. Less loss and better lasting time in good condition of the product.

They do not make studies of the effect on man. We will find out too late it is dangerous and even lethal to mankind. MO.

God tells us not to mix seeds. The companies on the other hand produce food that does no longer makes it's own seed anymore ... thus man is totally dependent on the ones with the seeds.

Very precarious position to be in ... Wake up everyone.

Leave the original seeds alone.

“One of the corn varieties was designed to tolerate broad-spectrum herbicides, (so-called ‘Roundup-ready’ corn), while the other two contain bacteria-derived proteins that have insecticide properties.”

...also an unexpected beneficial side effect of killing off that pesky rat problem!

If you’re feeding your dog food and treats with corn as an ingredient, you may be harming it.

The data “clearly underlines adverse impacts on kidneys and liver, the dietary detoxifying organs, as well as different levels of damages to heart, adrenal glands, spleen and haematopoietic (blood) system,” reported Gilles-Eric Séralini, a molecular biologist at the University of Caen.

focus such research as there was a clear negative impact on the function of these organs in rats consuming GM maize varieties for just 90 days.

This is a joke, right?

After all, the GM corn is fed to millions, no tens of millions, no, HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of poultry and livestock every year.

Where are the sick animals?

Shouldn't they be falling dead from failing organs? They are on this corn for way more than 90 days.

Especially the pigs, which are closest to humans?
