Witchcraft and Voodooism are big cults in Haiti. I notice that many areas in the world that have Voodooism suffer from quakes, hurricanes and tsunamis Maybe it is God chastising His people?

Scripture certainly has plenty on chastising such as:
II SAM 12:14, AMOS 4:6-12, I COR 11:30-32, DEUT 32:48-52
1. God may use the loss of loved ones. David lost newborn son. II Sam 12:14
2. God may use the loss of property and wealth. Amos 4:6-12
3. God may use the loss of health. I Cor 11:30
4. God may use death. Deut 32:48-52.
All of us are chastised by God when we worship false gods. It’s just that we don’t realize it. It is His way of bringing back His children.
